  1. Yeah didn't we do well against the M's and Angels in '04? Then again, that was the flukey first half of 2004...
  2. The Taco Bell commercial for that "cholesterol bombshell" of beef, cheese, and more cheese and more beef...Absolutely disgusting. Seriously, is that ad appealing to anyone?
  3. Paraphrase: "I'm not perfect...sometimes I volunteer too much...sometimes I run over people with cars..."
  4. Great movie, Moneyball Man, Great movie...Perfect for relaxing, anyway.
  5. Capuano's regression this year is mightily exaggerated by the "the Brewers haven't won a game with him pitching since May" argument, which is brought up every time he comes in to pitch. He's had some bad outings, but he's also had some decent ones.
  6. Prince Fielder...duh. Actually, Bill Hall. Huuuge disappointment. 35 homers don't really matter in a year where you win 75 games. We coulda used him...
  7. A canoli at Mike's Pastry is essential. It's somewhere in the more Italian district of the city...Can't remember the name of the neighborhood. Fenway Park tour. Very informative. Harvard Square (I think that's what it's called).
  8. This thread is making me anxious, nervous, excited. Take your pick. I really can't believe we are even having this discussion in September. It feels so surreal. Wow.
  9. If you don't find the topic of conversation important, you don't really need to comment. Anyway, the out of town scoreboard has bugged me a bit this year too, as it's often a good 15 minutes behind. On the other hand, the same is often true for TV broadcasts, so I don't know. I do think on the last homestand the OOT scoreboard is going to be more important than ever, so it'll be good if they make an effort to keep up then.
  10. Ankiel is imploding. He has 1 hit since Friday, and made 2 horrible plays in the field tonight. Good-bye feel-good story.
  11. I'm excited, but this could easily be a huge "jump the shark" season. Then again, the same could've been said about Season 3 pertaining to the Jim and Pam kiss and the Stamford Branch closing, which I thought that was handled very well.
  12. Very nice. Didn't expect that many Brewers fans in Cinci considering school is starting and summer vacation trips would be over, so I am pleasantly surprised to hear about the fan presence this weekend. Expect similar things in Atlanta, for sure.
  13. Don't forget Tyler Donovan's Bevell-esque scamper to keep the Badgers as the Big Ten's best. Great baseball and football weekend in the Badger State. Soak it up for now!
  14. Kerry Wood stinks!
  15. Not sure yet...about to head out and find out.http://static.yuku.com//domainskins/bypass/img/smileys/happy.gif
  16. I know I may be jumping the gun here, considering it's not even halftime...but this is some awful pathetic football for a team that was ranked #5 a week ago. At halftime... -Oregon has 390 total yards. 390. -Michigan has had 7 drives in Oregon territory. 1 TD. 4 turnovers. 1 Missed Field Goal. 1 Punt. -Oregon has 15 plays of 10+ yards. ' -Chad Henne is on the verge of being benched. -Oregon leads 32-7. As more of a Badger fan than a Big Ten fan, I must say I love it. Let's hope the Badgers don't do the same tonight.
  17. Areacodes that is awesome...How do you feel today? Tonight = Power hour + Badger game + more drinking. Go Badgers!
  18. And for the first time since that series in Arizona, the Brewers will be playing in front of a crowd that will not have a playoff-like atmosphere. Good lineup, but the words "Bush" and "Great American Ball Park" make me shudder. 3-run homers, anyone? We just might have to win a slugfest. I'm going with Milwaukee 11-8. Linebrink gets the win in relief.
  19. Aquino? Are you serious? . Ned Yost is an idiot. Of all the idiotic moves so far this year...today takes the cake. I can't wait to see that clown as a Nationals bench coach next year. Idiot.
  20. This is ugly...This inning should be over...It feels like I've thought that a lot this year. Grr...
  21. For the love of Chad Moeller...please do not bat Mench 3rd again.
  22. Another walk...his meltdowns are beautiful.
  23. If the 2005 Brewers featured bore you, try a fantasy draft...it's interesting to see where everyone turns up. Agreed about extra base hits...Anybody slower than Bill Hall has to hit one into the power alleys to have a chance of getting better than a single, and hitting into the alleys is very tough.
  24. Here's one I overheard about at a game...Not sure I buy it though... http://assets.espn.go.com/i/mlb/profiles/players/65x90/7336.jpghttp://uncoolkids.com/movies/pics/movies/2007/03/24.jpg
