    Come on Manny! I'm predicting 5.1 IP, 5 H, 2 ER, 3K, 1BB. When I think of double headers I always think of being outscored 21-3 by Pittsburgh in 2004. That felt like the start of that awful second half. Come on Crew, lets at least clinch a split in this series today. Anything better than that, and the Cards might pack it in for the year.

    Ned makes a great point...one that I hadn't really considered yet. Honestly, who here feels "used to" a pennant race? I know I'm not, and it's both exciting and nervewracking at the same time. As to Yost's managerial skills, I still am bothered by some moves that Ned makes (or doesn't make, for that matter). It seems like he often makes a move too late...Too late getting the pen to warmup, too late getting a new pitcher in the game, too late benching a guy who is struggling (a la Jenkins in '06 while Hart rotted on the bench.), etc. I also feel like his in-game managing this year has varied from brilliant (the 12-inning win vs. Chicago in April) to awful (letting Cappy melt in the sun vs. the Nationals). One other thing that bothers me about Ned...his happy-go-lucky attitude after some losses. I don't wanna hear "we played a great game and we lost" when we could only manage 4 solo homers but go 0-fer with runners in scoring position, for example. That game was against the Nats, we lost 5-4, and exposed the "too many home runs, not enough manufacturing runs" weakness this team has. It was exciting, but not well-played at all on our part. I also find it interesting how outside of Milwaukee, Yost is considered a fruntrunner for manager of the year. Just my 2 cents...a little bit of rambling, I know.

    How about "pitching"? It's not going all that terrible, but anybody could use all the help they can get in that category. Also, hawing, I love your idea of "mojo." I have that too...I just call it obsessive superstition.

    I'm sorry, but Yost is not at fault for Villy forgetting to find the Zone with 2 out and nobody on. The use of Shouse was not a no-brainer either way, so as much as I'd like to, Yost doesn't get any of my blame tonight.

    I am so pissed off right now. There is no possible excuse for going from nobody on, 2 out, to a backup catcher getting a bases loaded hit. Disgusting.

    Doug is Sharpie because it looks like his soul patch was drawn on with a Sharpie (I think...) Although DD was a little frustrating at times last year, I still respect him a great deal. I hope his role in the Brewers resurgance is well recognized tomorrow. Give him a standing O, folks. It really does feel weird seeing two guys that were #2 and #3 in our rotation last year go against each other. I know this happens all the time, but it still gets me every time. Typing "DD" just now brought back memories, and will make tomorrow's game that much more surreal.

    Ahhh, beer is good, especially when it's in celebration of your cloest friends bday. Not to mention the Brewers won and the cubs lost. 4.5 up sounds sooo much better than 3.5.

    I'm sure everyone will know. They changed the game time in what, April? That's more than enough time for everybody to realize it's not a 6:05 start, especially with all the buzz around the team and Barry Bonds. It's not like we'll have 12,000 people there until the 9th inning when everybody shows up... Okay, slight exaggeration...

    I had one of the bandwagon geniuses behind me at the game today. After Turnbow entered in the 8th, he "guaranteed" a walk followed by a two-run homer. When the walk happened, he made sure to rail on about how Turnbow stunk, has no control, and should've been traded. I wanted to turn around and point out to this clown the nearly 3:1 K/BB ratio and sub-3.50 ERA D-Bow has, but instead I just made sure to give him an extra long standing O after he retired the side with 2 K's.

    Looks like only SRO is available anywhere, which should go quickly as well. Brewers in 1st + Saturday afternoon on National TV + Barry Bonds + Good weather = 46,000 +? Should be packed, no?
