  1. Stupid Giants Announcers... So when is Zack Jack's big inning? I'm hoping it was in the first, when he got bailed out, but you never know. Bust out the bats!
  2. That is 6-1 now. Nice alert play by Clark to move to 2nd, and Weeks drives him home. Ah, the inconcsistency of these guys...
  3. I getting a little tired of Billy Hall not taking any pitches. I can't remember the last time he had a quality at-bat.
  4. JJJJenkins!!! What an at bat! Keep it up Crew.
  5. I really don't like our chances that much tonight. Webb is probably the best sinkerballer in the NL if not the whole league, which when combined with the Brewers' recent tendency to swing at pitches early in the count is a formula for disaster. If the Brewers do end up getting the lead tonight, it'll probably only be by 1 or 2 runs, which, with our bullpen's inconsistency, is a virtual tie game. As for tonight's lineup...Gross works the count as well as anybody on the team, which will help against Webb. As for Barnwell...I'm not so sure. I'm sorry to sound so negative. I still believe in this team's ability to put together quality performaces, especially when their backs are against the wall. Win one for all the SW Brewers Fans at the ballpark tonight. Or...what the hey, just win.
  6. People, what are we gonna do with Turnbow? This sucks. So many chances to win today, or to at least add on to the lead, and it didn't happen. Pathetic.
  7. Heeeeey! Fielder gets a hit. I hope that get's him going. Tie game.
  8. I admit I feel alot better with Rusch instead of Prior, as I thought Prior was due for a dominant game. 2.2 IP, 6H 7ER 3BB 0K 4HR was Rusch's line when the Crew absolutely owned him back on April 29. Let's do it again and go into the break at .500. How appropriate would that be?
  9. If Koskie was healthy I'm pretty sure Prince would be sitting tonight with Cirillo at 1st. Oh well, let's get to Marmol. At least make him work.
  10. Hall Never Walks 5K in his last 6 AB's or something like that. He just doesn't take any pitches, and has swung at some really bad balls.
  11. Holy Cow, Bush can hit! That was a scorcher.
  12. Ummmmm...What? Finally Jenkins, My goodness!
  13. Griffey and Dunn coming up. I'm scared.
  14. Wow. Weird. Carlos with a crucial GIDP and Hall with one too.
  15. There we go 'Bow. Man oh man I hate having an erratic bullpen. It does bad things to my health.
  16. 3-0 is nice, but remember that we have a...um...bullpen. Keep dealin' Carlos!
  17. Sign of the Apocalypse: I go to a Brewers game, and the Crew doesn't give up 10 runs or more. In fact, it was in almost every respect an absolutely perfect day. Great food, great weather, great crowd, great giveaway, great pitching for us, great fourth inning. Just an all around great win attended with my girlfriend, friend, and dad. Too bad we had to witness Germany lose in Friday's after the game. One interesting moment from the game for me: On Fielder's deep fly in the 4th, I think everybody (including whoever was in right, I can't remember) thought it was gone, but it fell short. Next batter, Koskie hits a similar fly ball with what looked like less power, and I think everybody thought it was another routine play. It was weird to see it just keep carrying and get out. Come on boys, tomorrow = sweep. Please?
  18. I agree with AJAY that today was in a way dissapointing even though we won. Nevertheless, it took a lot to come back in the 9th inning, and these guys got it done. That's the bottom line. A win is a win is a win. I'm heading to tomorrow's game, inevitably to be dissapointed. I've been to three Brewers games at MP this year, and they have been THE three worst games that the Brewers have played there this year (0-11 to the Reds on 4/23, 10-16 to the Twins on 5/20, and 1-10 to the Tigers on 6/20. Yes, I stayed for the entirety of all three crapfests). It'll still be fun to see Arroyo vs. Davis, and get another bobblehead. Here's to hoping the bullpen doesn't let us down, again.
  19. You see Brewers? That's how you get a guy in scoring position home. Urgh. I think I'm going to pay a visit to the venting thread later. In the mean time, I'm going to stay away from this in-game thread as I don't want to contribute any more to the negativity than I already have.
  20. Crap. That's the best chance we will get all day.
  21. Wow. Weird Start. Let's get some runs, eh?
  22. Moeller... Inevitably he is in the lineup. Anyone wanna bet he doesn't even make contact with any of Liriano's pitches? Unless the bases are loaded with one out of course, then he will hit a sharp grounder to short. Come on Crew, Let's get something out of this crapfest of a series. Edit: Mauer not in the Twins lineup. That's semi-good news.
  23. brewers19, I envy you. I don't really like our chances in any of the games this series (except maybe Saturday). We know Villaneuva, as good as may pitch, is probably going to be limited to no more than 6 or 7 innings, thereby turning the game over to the 'pen, which is when the wheels just might fall off, especially in the HomerDome. Negativity aside, this should be a fun series with the ol' Border Battle in full swing.
  24. Never mind. BREWERS WIN! 3/4 vs. the Chubs...Nice! Back at .500.
