Fixed. This game/week doesn't change my mind about them for the rest of the season.

Cordero killed my fantasy team this week. It's nice to get the wins but I'm pretty sure he's given up a run in every game this week.

Still a bad decision to use Counsell I think.

Why is Counsell hitting. He hasn't gotten a hit in like almost 30 at-bats and Gomez would probably beat out a DP.

If anything, Gamel should be getting work in the outfield and at 1B. We already have Taylor Green who should be up helping at 3B in the majors. With Braun's injury and not knowing how long he will be out, if it will linger etc., and the fact that Kotsay is terrible on defense, Gamel could really help the OF situation.

Umm, it's wikipedia. Does anyone regard it as a credible source? It can be. I used it to study a lot of historical stuff in college. I think there have been studies that show it's basically as accurate as encyclopedias. Obviously anyone can edit so at times, there may be something wrong or messed with but I believe they have people constantly checking pages to make sure everything is right.

No, it's wikipedia, you can write what you want. Edit: well technically, you can sue for just about anything. But you probably won't win.

Yeah, I've looked at his page before and that was never there. I understand he sucks now but no reason to do that. And if you are going to do something like that, at least make it funny.

Jeter just hit a HR for his 3000th hit. He is the second player to hit a HR for it, the first being Wade Boggs in 1999. I'm actually kind of surprised more guys haven't done it. I wonder what's going to happen with the ball.

Yeah, as much as I like Gamel, he shouldn't be playing 3rd. Obviously he isn't going to get much time at 1st and if they aren't going to use him in the outfield, I would just send him back down and bring up Green. Ideally, I would cut Kotsay and use Gamel in his role (he can't be worse than Kotsay in the field) and bring up Green. If Gamel isn't going to get semi-regular playing time (not at 3rd, he should never be used there), he should be sent back down. -
Man, Telly is terrible. Maybe he should be their first upgrade after the break.

WOW! I definitely did not expect that. Kotsay and McGehee both still suck though. But if they are going to be kept on the roster, hopefully they play like this the rest of the year.

Sadly Melvin/Roenicke will continue to use McGehee's HR the other day to justify his roster spot/playing time for the next month, regardless of what he does.

Wanna re-think this? He did the same thing on Sunday. He just is not a defensive player anymore and really not an offensive one either (despite the last week and a half).

Don't know if it's considered PC or not but I'm in a death pool and she was on my team. I'm still in 3rd though even though I've had 4 deaths this year and the guy in 2nd only had 1.

Like everyone said, Counsell is finished. There's no reason to have him on the roster when we already have Yuni and Wilson as SS (as terrible as they are). I don't think his use as a defensive replacement in the 8th/9th inning justifies his roster spot. Wilson can fill that role. Bring up Green to give McGehee some days off so Gamel doesn't have to play out of position anymore.

Without trading someone on the ML roster (like Hart, Braddock, Axford, etc.), I don't think there's any possible way to make a major move like the Sabathia trade. The pieces just aren't there in the minors. I would say Marcum has been a pretty solid #1 guy all year. If you're expecting more out of a #1 than him, you're probably looking at guys like Verlander, Lincecum, Sabathia, the Phillies top 3. There aren't very many of those guys and they usually aren't available. And when they are, they cost way more than what we have.
