  1. No, he still would have been out at 2nd, because safe would have been the correct call, which Phil Cuzzi's crew is incapable of accomplishing. Oh yeah. I'm just glad they're gone. Although I'm sure we'll get screwed by them again real soon.
  2. Yeah I was worried they were gonna call him safe at second. If we had the crew from last series there's no doubt he would have been safe at second. And they probably would have called every one of Soup's pitches balls.
  3. It's still early, give it time. There's still 8 more innings.
  4. I don't know why but I have a really good feeling about this series, I think this is the series where the Brewers bats start to pick up and everything starts to fall into place. And Trenni looks amazingly hot tonight. She should wear her hair up every night.
  5. My grandmother grew up on the reservation in Red Cliff and I'm a member of the Red Cliff tribe. Personally, I don't mind team names like the "Indians" or named after certain tribes. The only team name I really don't like is the "Redskins" since it's a derogatory and could be likened to the "n-word," when it was in its most prevalent use. Now it's not considered as derogatory since it's a team name but at one point, it was very offensive. Another thing I don't like is things like the "tomahawk chop" and people doing "Indian calls." That kind of stuff gets to be offensive. I admit that it has gone a bit far as it seems people want to get rid of any Indian-related team name. As long as the Indians represented by the team name/mascot don't go overboard, I really don't have a problem with it.
  6. Too bad the umpires can't fire the managers instead of just tossing them. That would be great.
  7. Maybe we should just fill our bullpen with long relievers and guys like Villy (that can go once or twice through the order without getting murdered) and only use a 3 man rotation. Then the other two times just send out 3 of these long relievers in a row to get to 6/7 innings and then use normal bullpen guys.
  8. This may just be venting but it's starting to look more and more like Villy is not suited to being a starter. He is probably best suited to the bullpen where he can dominate for a couple of innings. Hitters seem to hit him harder (compared to other pitchers) the 2nd and 3rd (if he ever gets that far) through the order. Although with the Yo injury, I guess we don't really have a choice.
  9. This is when I wish we could swear on here.
  10. Wow, can't believe that got over his head. I was yelling "get down" thinking it would fall in front of him.
  11. Not looking for sympathy, just saying it would've been nice to get at least something out of this awful series.
  12. I traded for Fukudome before this series started but stupid yahoo won't process it until tomorrow. So I got no consolation from this series.
  13. Two balls called strikes in a row. Like Marmol needs any more help.
  14. "At least they don't throw cups at him." Classic.
  15. The Brewers really seem to be getting hosed by the umps a lot this year on balls and strikes calls. It seems like everytime they are up, the strike zone just expands ridiculously.
  16. This should probably go in the vent thread but Rickie will never be good. Average at best.
  17. It looked like Fukudome might have gotten a leg in there.
  18. The way this ump has been calling the low balls strikes, that pitch to Kendall should not have been a strike. Yeah it was at the belt but if you're going to call strikes below the knees, you can't call those at the belt.
  19. Prince should've dug out that throw yes but it's still a tough pick. Rickie had all day to get a good throw off.
