  1. Here's a nice preview of the Twins-A's series Gleeman: ALDS Preview: Twins-A's Thomas didn't wait very long to flex his post season muscles, did he?
  2. Loading the bases to set up the DP did not lose the ball game. Throwing an 0-2 meatball did. The 0-2 meatball wouldn't have given the lead up, however, so the IBB can't be ignored.
  3. I know most managers do it but putting the winning run on base to set up a double play is just plain STUPID.
  4. A strikeout and a wildpitch. OUCH. Come on, double play....
  5. Bill, the numbers say to PITCH to Pujols, not walk him with runners on 1st and third. Yost IS going with the numbers. Sheesh. I don't think there was any way he threw him out even if he fielded it cleanly, IMO. For anyone but the pitcher, I would agree with you.
  6. The ball falls out of Bell's glove and it's a base hit? He had a ways to go but please.
  7. Sheets 4.01 ERA Capuano 4.03 ERA
  8. Pujols sure looked out at 2B to me.
  9. TGJ isn't a big fan of the walks so far. 2 walks in 69 ML AB. Even during his decent year in AAA this year he didn't walk much. He's going to have to change that quick.
  10. Looks like the Cardinals have forgotten how to be winners. Maybe Yost can remind them. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  11. I liked this episode a lot. Big fan of the "party pants".
  12. If by just fine you mean an offensive black hole, then yes. Dude, he can totally run fast though. Who needs a guy who can bat .280 with power when you can get a guy who can bat .280 with infield hits?
  13. Davis's line is crazy. 2 hits, 8 BB, 7 K and 1 run in 6 IP.
  14. Well then that preview was misleading. The narrator specifically said, "And the return of Jim!" Perhaps you missed the season premier promos... http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  15. Everyone in the starting lineup (minus the pitcher) had exactly 1 BB.
  16. Whether a baseball messageboard full of dudes likes it or not, the romance angle is central to the show and is a reason a lot of the audience enjoys the show and isn't going away any time soon. My wife loves it! As long as it doesn't become the pam and jim show I guess I can suck it up. EDIT: OK, so you guys were right. Of course, if I had been convinced to watch The Office from only the promo I would have been completely disappointed.
  17. Jenkins is REALLY trying to finish the season with at least 20 HRs.
  18. Hey Yost, let a righty bat now, please. Jenkins can' hit lefties! Please? EDIT: See, Jenkins can't hit lefties! http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  19. Now Sutton is sweating Belliards turn on a double play? I don't get it.
  20. this is a strange moment as a brewerfan...on paper, the brewers are ready to compete...but on the field, man they suck...so what to do? Not overreact and let the kids develop would be my vote.
  21. BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO !!! How many times have you typed that this year?
  22. It's not that I mind them exploring Jim and Pam's romance. It's how they are going it. I didn't picture "The Office" ever presenting that angle with all the sappiness it's presented with in every other crappy tv sitcom. Sappy music and a stolen kiss. I can't wait to see if Ross and Rachel get back together!
  23. Why the hell is NBC trying to turn "The Office" into another Friends? I didn't mind Jim and Pam having their little inter-office flirts but when did their romance become the show completely? What made "The Office" so interesting was that it didn't fit into any of the pre-existing cookie cutter American comedy genres (well, because they copied the British version). Now some stupid NBC exec says, "I know it's doing well but I know how to make it even better!" It wouldn't suprise me if Steve Carroll leaves the show after this season and The Office continues on in mediocrity for a couple more years. My Name is Earl and The Office are the first new comedies tv series I've liked in years and it looks like they are trying to destroy one of them.
