  1. Was that Yost "making things happen" or Hall? What happened exactly?
  2. Hey, that was a nice win. Enjoy the games just for the game.
  3. So Cappy will go another game without a win. BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO !!!!! I think it's obvious that Cappy isn't a "winner", just like Sheets. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif What happened to you being numb to these games? http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif Sending Hart there wasn't a bad move, but in general Yost does do some things which make you wonder. It's not any one decision. he's just on record about having to be more aggressive and I think it's a bad idea. Lopes replacement said teh same thing and made a million outs with his silliness.
  4. I'm so numb to this kind of a game. EDIT: What's annoying is that Yost has convinced himself that he needs to take chances and give away outs to compensate for a bad offense. The irony is that he only contributes to the problem, IMO.
  5. I'm thinking they should keep him. If he OPS's .850 in 450 or so AB's in a platoon, and plays his usual defense, he's worth the $7 million or whatever. I think that actually makes more sense than overpaying in a trade. Well, a platoon corner OF isn't really worth $7 mil but he's probably worth $3-4 mil. If a team took on Jenkins' contract and threw in a mediocre reliever I'd be tempted if I were Melvin. Like you insinuated, that probably won't happen.
  6. Wow getting thrown out going on contact. That never happens. Gatta make things happen!
  7. Jenkins in a platoon isn't worth his current contract but it's really not THAT bad. Unless someone would be willing to take on his most salary for next year, it probably won't be worth trading Jenkins this off season.
  8. RBI triple for Hart. Big guys with speed are fun to watch.
  9. Cappy cruising. He'll be a fine #2 next year.
  10. What does that have to to with the fact Jenkins has sucked this season..for the WHOLE season. What does that have to do with what you said that I disagreed with? Can you stay on topic or what? So, you're telling me it would've made more sense for me to say "oh yeah Jenkins has been great this year!" Again, straw man. Do you annoy everyone in real life as well?
  11. Where was he in April, May, June, July, or August? Last year, Jenkins was on fire the entire second half, when the Brewers were trying to stay in the playoff race. meanwhile, Lee disappeared. Of course, that fact doesn't fit into some people's perception of either player, so they ignore it altogether. Sorry to interupt your predictable rant with reality.
  12. Why is our 2nd worst hitter in the lineup batting 1st?
  13. test EDIT: Nothing to see here.... EDIT: WOOHOO!
  14. Parents that obsess over the notion of "beating" another team, when children just want to run around and have fun.
  15. I have a similar problem with Primer, but there it's like the filmakers need to feel smarter than you, so they hold back information and coyly answer questions, "maybe". Primer made complate sense after I watched the movie, studied online for 3 hours and then watched the movie again http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  16. So yeh. 6 IP and Sheets is, um... doing well so far.
  17. Depending on what time my wife and I might mess around. Where's the field?
  18. 3 infield goundouts in 8 total pitches. YAWNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN.
  19. All this good pitching being wasted is depressing.
  20. 1 out away to a no hitter... EDIT: Sanchez get's it.
  21. If Mench is even an average defensive OFer, he certainly hasn't shown it with the Brewers yet.
  22. These second half collapses are just comical.
  23. Russ, crunch your numbers and post the probability of the Brewers finishing 62-100. Even with these guys, the % is probably low, and that might make me feel a little better. This team is impossible to quantify. I can say that the starting lineup this team has trotted out lately is just plain horrible.
