Soup with the backwards K. Get one more strike, Jeff, and you can hit the showers with a real gem tonight. Edit: OK, I didn't realize he had five walks. Still, six Ks in eight scoreless is pretty good.
That's Brewer-esque - a bad call by the umps followed by the bullpen completely imploding. I predict Weeks gets at least two bases in this at-bat. It may be as many as all of them.
Gameday's video highlight has it in slow motion and you can clearly see it hit the gray part above the wall. It should be a home run, but I can't understand how they changed it at the park.
Great. Now, if we lose, Yost has a built-in defense. They give you bats for a reason, boys. All you need is one run two runs three runs some runs and a rainout in the bottom half.
Is anybody else thinking that it's a good thing nobody's on first so he can't GIDP? Man on third with one out, we actually get a run scored. Rickie Weeks, take notes.
I was totally questioning the decision to put 'S house in against a righty, but it worked out, as he gets the one man no other Brewer pitcher can get out to swing and miss. JP feels that this umpire's strike zone has a couple of extra inches on the outside lately, and really doesn't like the location of the press box. "Easily the worst press box location in the majors."
