  1. I like the new (old?) Brady a lot. Bad Chad got his monthly hit!
  2. Maybe they're just all ringers for the Interleague Play...
  3. It feels like there isn't a pitcher in the league who doesn't have RBIs against us.
  4. "In play, run-scoring play" can be the sweetest words in the English language sometimes.
  5. Finally, a home stand! I'll be there - it'll be nice having an opportunity to see Eveland in action.
  6. I like your attitude, BrewCrewIn2004. I'm not done with these guys yet. They never play well in PNC Park, and the Pirates are really hot right now. I'm not going to bank on any of the injured pitchers coming back this season (really, I'm not), but I think that we can depend on all the starting pitchers but Capuano to improve. If the hitting could get more consistent and the pitching could improve to a manageable level, I think the Brewers could at least make a run at a winning season.
  7. Have I mentioned that I really, really, really hate the Pirates? Like, a lot.
  8. I'd plunk him. This is Derrick Turnbow, though, and he's a competitor. He'll want to go after him.
  9. When was the last time Sanchez didn't reach base? This is ridiculous.
  10. D-Bow!! Finally, he gets a save opportunity. I want ten pitches, 3 K's.
  11. I recommend Gameday. It's not bad. There's a bit of lag, but they always have the right players.
  12. Butch's advice for this at-bat: Swing at every pitch, Corey. One of 'em's bound to put the ball in play.
  13. Edit: I also hate slow-updating programs.
  14. I love getting into the opposing team's bullpen.
  15. Do you think Bush is aiming at that low outside corner on account of the one Castillo put into the seats on a low-inside curve from JDLR the other day? Edit: when I saw In-play, run-scoring play, I was certain he'd jacked another one. This guy is killing us.
  16. Paul Maholm: soft-tossing young lefty, pick-off artist? That's two today. Granted, they're both guys who are young enough to be in college, but it's pretty impressive to pick off players to end the inning twice in a row.
  17. Curses. This is why the Brewers have had trouble getting into the Pittsburgh bullpen: Paul Maholm just got through that inning on five pitches. Edit: Rickie had that fielder's choice, I forget.
  18. A question to those who have Gameday up: how did Rickie Weeks steal a base without getting on base? Also, why do the Brewers batters keep swinging immediately? I'm seeing a lot of one-pitch and two-pitch outs.
  19. Time to see if that sign-stealer will help the pitcher get a hit...
  20. I've always been somewhat surprised at the ability of hitters, especially power hitters, to ground out softly to the catcher. I mean, it's the catcher! On-field delay? Please explain.
  21. Ladies and gentlemen, let me introduce you to my friend. His name is small ball. He's not as exciting or sexy as my other friend power, but when power is nowhere to be found, he can help.
  22. I'm reminded of an Antonio Freeman catch on Monday Night Football against the Vikings. I think somebody messed up and gave Dave Bush his "Do not eat away from Miller Park" cereal this morning because he's dealing. Edit: also, Brady Clark is raking.
  23. Please describe for those of us with no visual access. This sounds cool, and I see no blue text.
