  1. I had a buddy of mine a few years back try to explain to me how great it was, and how exciting it was....I tried, and couldn't get into it. I guess I just need a sport that has a ball and something to do with it to score points or runs. Soccer doesn't really appeal to me much, but I'll watch that before NASCAR. I would watch football, baseball, golf, basketball, hockey, soccer and then any racing. But that's me.
  2. I love me some Ryan Braun! In a non-homosexual way, of course.
  3. "Kerry Wood is healthy for the moment, there are seven men for five rotation places and three men for one closer's job, and Mark Prior is in someone else's camp" That made me smile. Seriously, though, the Cubs have Big Z and a few others as OK starters. The Mets have Johan, Pedro and a really good looking starting staff. Obviously, championship aren't won on paper, but I think that's really going to be the big issue for the Cubs this year.
  4. Are you positive about that? Umm...wait, no...that was a typo. On a serious note, though, when did MLB start testing for steroids? Why is John Rocker coming out and saying he testing positive in 2000 and now some MLB player named Barry B. tested positive later? I thought it was 2003 when they started testing? This is strange.
  5. My mancrush on Ryan Braun continues to grow...
  6. I believe Barry Bonds has also tested negative for positivity.
  7. Would they want him back? I know students and boosters probably would, but would the president and AD?
  8. Wow. Good luck finding a job, Kelvin.
  9. Isn't all of this still from when he was at Oklahoma? I thought that was what I read was that it was that he lied about things and the NCAA found out he lied. I could be wrong.
  10. The golfing year round, I'm quite excited about, and the lack of winter has been amazing. It's going to get "cold" this week, down to 38 for a low. I think I can handle that. I like warm weather, and the humidity here in SA isn't as bad as Houston (nothing's as bad as Houston humidty in the summer).
  11. Sheboygan, but before that, I lived out in Portland, Oregon and Vancouver, Washington. However, from age one and a half to 23, I lived in Janesville and Mayville.
  12. After growing up in Wisconsin, moving away, and moving back, I'm quite happy I've moved away again. I love Wisconsin and many of the things there, but I just couldn't stand the winter. After 1 month, fine...but after November through March of blah, cold, crummy weather, I'll take what I've had the 3 weeks I've lived in Texas any day of the week. I don't care that it will get to 100+ over the summer, and will be humid. I don't have to shovel snow. I can wear shorts in February and not be shivering. I'm amazing at the fact that they're already practicing baseball outside. It's great!
  13. I still don't. It was a time in my life. It's done and I've moved on.
  14. You sure you weren't watching an NBA game? Sounds the same to me.
  15. Carroll Spinney, the voice of Big Bird, Oscar the Grouch, two of my favorite Sesame Street characters. Yay for me!
  16. Does that mean that he'll be fired by the all-star break?
  17. Don't you know that's Bob Uecker as a young man??
  18. I do, because it's my training. Even though with rock music (or pop music in general), it's not about "prettiness", you still should be using good vocal technique that make your sound supported and not that your eyeballs are going to start bulging out.
  19. One of the wiggles? The blue guy, I'm guessing.
  20. Thank God the game was amazing, because there was only about 1 or 2 that I laughed out loud at. The Budweiser one with the dog training the horse, I laughed, when the Rocky music came on. I thought the Diet Pepsi Max one was great. Otherwise, I thought, you spent millions of dollars on this? And I'm glad I'm not alone with that salesgenie ad. I thought that was just extremely strange.
  21. I'm a voice teacher by training, and Tom Petty has always bothered me, because he sounds like he's singing out of his nose, and he sounds like he's in pain. Every time when he went for the high note on Freefallin, I cringed. That said, it could have been much worse. But it's halftime.
  22. So, if $21 million per yer is what Santana gets, what would be the going rate for Sheets? $15 million per year? $10?
  23. My wife and I were into the show the first 2 seasons, then life got in the way, and we missed out on it. My mother-in-law loves the show, so we all watched the recap Wednesday, and then the show last night. It was intriguing, but how in the world does Naomi get a knife in the back and get up and move around?? The Oceanic 6 thing is interesting. We'll continue to watch, since we have a DVR, and are interested, but there's a lot of stuff to get worked out.
