    I'd love to see Prince go to the Angels for Trout and a couple of prospects. Hart to KC for whatever they can get. Granted, those are probably pipe dreams, but it would be great

    Trade Prince for Trout and a couple of other prospects? The Angels seem to want to be going for it this year, and Morales is out.

    So, if Axford gets traded......who closes? Hoffman? He's the reason Axford is closing now. Hawkins? He's coming off of an injury. Braddock? Maybe....but would Macha actually use him in that role?

    Last time I checked, Don Money wasn't a slouch in the field in MLB for a few years. I think he knows what he's talking about.

    We find the answer to this question in Ken Macha's forthcoming book, "How to avoid a zim-zam: Managing the Milwaukee Brewers" where he says, "If' you've got a guy who's not quite 100%, but he's a veteran, you play him as much as you can, so that you can stay out of the zim-zam. Remember, it's all about staying out of that zim-zam."

    What about standing up for your players? It's like he's telling the players, "yeah, I know, it sucks, I don't like it, but there's nothing I can do about it."

    He is what he is. A 40 year old who sat out last season. He's not great, he's not awful. Should be playing every day? Absolutely not. You're better off playing rookies if you think playing a 40 year old Jim Edmonds is your best bet at winning.

    6 inches makes a difference, especially at first. I've watched Blanks play and he's pretty good. Would be a much better defensive 1B than Prince.

    Eh, probably not. I was wishing...maybe Weeks+. In the article it was suggested that if SF traded for Weeks, they'd move Sanchez to 3rd, and Panda to 1st.

    Wow......didn't the M's just trade for The Muscle a few weeks back? Apparently Jack Z wants another power hitting 1st baseman.

    Offensively, I don't think there would be much of a hiccup.....defensively.....that leaves something to be desired, I think.

    Awesome!! Let's do it!!! Weeks for Bumgarner, Hart and Hoffman for Minor and Kawakami, and Fielder for about 3 top notch prospects, and we're in the game!

    The more I'm reading about Minor, I'm OK with taking on Kawakami. Or whatever is necessary. Just as long as the Brewers' med staff doesn't screw him up like almost everyone else!

    Yeah, you're right. Didn't completely think that through. Let's pick Hoffman to be cut for Cain or whoever comes up on the wheel of crap. I know Cain and Katin are both right handed batters, but I'd like to see both of them get a chance, let them show what they can do.

    The more I've thought about it, I like DFAing Gerut, calling up Cain to take his place, and then when you trade Hart, call up Katin, and go with a Cain/Katin platoon for RF.

    If it's Minor straight up for Hart, I'll take it. A year and a half ago, when Hart was in the midst of constantly flailing away at pitches thrown at the left handed batters box, I don't think anyone thought we'd get anything for him, maybe a A or AA scrub. But to get a high draft pick that is already in AAA......GET IT DONE!!!
