  1. Starting pitching, middle relief pitching, bullpen pitching, and blowout pitching, to be exact.
  2. I'm complaining about the move being made for the reasons that CheezWizHead mentioned previously. At least he's OF depth. What happens when Edmonds gets hurt again? Are they going to call up Cain? Waste his service time by having him sit on the bench?
  3. Thank you Adam Stern for being the back and forth guy from Nashville to Milwaukee the past month. Now go away....really? Unbelievable move when you have a plethora of choices. That's not exactly the #1 on my list.
  4. I always liked Bronswell, just on name alone. For a while, I thought about naming my firstborn son Bronswell Patrick Harmann.....daughter was born first.....wife probably wouldn't like it.
  5. That's a thought!!
  6. I went back and forth on that with my 5th starter spot. I think Parra probably would be good there, instead of being shuffled back and forth. We all saw how Villy struggled with that of being a starter/reliever back and forth.
  7. Which means, watch the Brewers for 6 innings, and pray there's no implosion after!
  8. The problem is, I don't see DM or Macha being for it.
  9. We've hashed, re-hashed and re-re-rehashed the problems with the Brewers over and over again, but in my mind, it keeps coming back to pitching. Who needs to be on this team, given the players we have in the Majors and Minors Rotation Yo Wolf Loe Cappy Not sure of the 5th starter Bullpen Axford Coffey Hoffman Stetter Braddock Villanueva Parra Narveson I'd like to see Narvy as the long man, and at this point, I don't know who would be a good 5th starter. I'd bring up Loe, and see what he can do. Estrada needs to go back down, Soup needs to go away. As I see it, it's the best of what we've got currently, however I think making sure Soup doesn't pitch another inning for the Crew is a great place to start. Or establish the rule that when the Brewers are down by 10, he can come in....NEVER when they have a lead or are tied.
  10. I had a feeling this was coming after it was "hinted" at, and there wasn't any follow-up. I hope that Brent succeeds in whatever he chooses to do in life, and I hope that he doesn't look back and regret this decision. As for the Brewers, you win some, you lose some. Seems sometimes the losing some has outweighed the winning some recently, but hopefully in the next few years that changes.
  11. That makes all the points...including the junk I expected Macha to say.....but, as Oates points out, if he can't get the guys out that he previously was able to consistently get out, that raises the question of why is he here?
  12. Nope, not kidding. Sure, he's done decent for a 40 year old who didn't play any form of baseball last year.....there had to be someone, anyone in our minor league system that was better than him.....
  13. You must support your assertion with at least one example. Not really trying to help here, but Ken Macha is the manager.....Jim Edmonds has played this year, too......
  14. Let Lucroy take his lumps. No need for Pierzynski. Kotteras is good to serve as the backup. Problem is, Macha will probably have them switched around. Edit: Got Macha and Melvin mixed up. Ooops!
  15. I see the next month being very telling with roster decisions. Does Loe and Cappy go elsewhere? What about Riske and Hawkins coming off of injury? What about Bush and DD? Definitely some decisions coming that will shape the direction of the club this season.
  16. How can anyone dislike a 1st baseman that can get the phrase "you know" into an answer to a yes or no question multiple times?
  17. The battle for worst in the NL Central.....who will win? Or is it lose? I guess lose, because by losing you would claim being the worst. Anyway.....just don't look awful Crew!!!
  18. Yes, please!!!
  19. That's what I thought. Might be the best for him to figure out what the issue is.....or if there is any way to fix it. Not really sure how to fix a drop in velocity other than rest.
  20. Does Bush have any options left? I wonder if he would be willing to be sent down to AAA to work out whatever issue he currently has.
  21. God-willing, this is the penultimate game that Ken Macha gets to manage for the Milwaukee Brewers.
  22. Stetter?? Really? He's got options left, so he could go back to AAA. I wouldn't DFA him.
  23. Will their replacements be worse than the current situation? Maybe, maybe not. But I think the majority is in agreement that something needs to be done.
  24. Melvin has done a good job of turning around and rebuilding the franchise. However, I think it's time for a new set of eyes. The approach toward bringing in pitching has fallen flat. Bring in someone who will look at the players that we have and turn this into a World Series contending team. As for Macha, it's obvious that he's not connecting with the players. If you're working for a boss you don't like, do you always put in maximum effort?
