    I don't know how anyone - fan of the game or not - can watch an NBA game and not think that the refs do their very best to make sure one team wins in a close game. OK, I'm done now. That game just really pissed me off, man.

    And I'm pretty sure the ref who blew the whistle went over and asked for help. It's like they're just on auto-whistle in that situation and they had to make something up quick.

    That sucks. I always loved McClung. It's too bad he had a down year; I don't see why he can't bounce back and put up 2008 numbers again next year. I'll miss him.

    Please stop losing. It hurts. So it's going to be about 2:1 ratio for JJ starting and Escobar starting we're seeing.

    Yeah, Yo had better be done. Telly had a comment from DM about Yo and his pitchcount/inning situation and he said "We'll have to wait and see how he feels in Sept." or something like that. That made me kind of uneasy and makes me think they'll try and push him to 200IP for no reason. And Braun is good.

    Also, I am sick of watching McGehee play defense. He can barely make the routine plays and god help us all if he tries to run or dive for a ball. Is he really better at 3B than Gamel? Really? Maybe his injury is hurting his D, but it's been like this the whole year.

    Nothing like making Yo get 5 outs an inning. Umpires are just awful. Seemingly every close play that happens they call wrongly. And I really REALLY hate when Rock goes into his "Well, you can't blame the umpires, it was close!" mode. Yes, Bill, you can blame the umpires. They are paid to get the call right and most of time it seems like they just guess. Might as well flip a coin.

    There is no way Prince resigns here with Boras around. They'll be looking for the $100mill+ contract and he'll get it from someone, but it won't be us. Hence why you trade him before all you get is just comp picks.

    I really enjoyed Raymond Fiest's Serpent War Saga. It's four books long. It's got some of the usual fantasy stuff(elves and what not), but the way they use magic was sort of unique. I think. And there's demons. And some sex. Great characters too, which is probably the most important part. The books are only like $6 a pop, so it's failry cheap too.

    So far District 9 has been getting absolutely awesome reviews. It's got a 95% on Rotten Tomatoes. How long has it been since the last great original sci-fi flick? Equilibrium, maybe? The Matrix? They don't come out with many good ones anymore.
