  1. I would say 2 hitters.. 1 runner has not impact..
  2. Something else I would have puked on 2 months ago. Don't you love baseball.. you are guaranteed to look like a genius and idiot and everywhere in between over the course of the season.
  3. Also the bullpen has pitched a lot the last week to get them to this point.
  4. By the way at this time last year I would have puked if you would have told me I would be saying keep McClung in to win a game to get the Brewers to a playoff. Hopefully next year at this time I will be pushing for Rickie to play all the times.
  5. If I am in the Cubs dugout I want to see anyone else in the Brewers pen besides McClung at this point so isn't it clear then he needs to stay in with a lefty and right warming up just in case 2 get on?
  6. i would take CC on 2 days rest over Bush on 4 days rest.. last night Bush gave up 3 runs in a similar situation..
  7. So is the current plan to start Sabathia tomorrow and Sunday?
  8. We still have to depend on the Cubs....yuck. I feel ya though!!Oh.. I don't know about that.. I hava feeling the Marlins will take 2 of 3 to stick it to the Mets.. and the Brewers will be playing the Cubs Iowa team the last 3 days.
  9. I was really worried about the Phillies but I am confident we will take the Mets down. Of course that is when I expected Sabathia / Sheets to give us 6 quality starts in the last 12 and now we are 0-2 in that department.
  10. Sutcliffe just said it had to be more than tightness for a "tough" guy like Sheets to take himself out.. has he watched the last two years?
  11. Oh.. I don't know his big tummy getting in his way seems to be quite a big reason.
  12. My goodness.. this September has gone past disappointing and through depressing and has arrived at humorous.. unbelievable they are still going to make the playoffs..
  13. Don't you think if you have been paid around $50 millions of dollars by an organization that you have some personal responsibility to play through minor injuries? It is not like we are talking a shoulder or an elbow. I doubt you will find many in the Brewers organization who are happy with him making a selfish decision.
  14. I know I am late to the party here on this but there is the difference between being hurt and injured.. too often with Sheets it is the precautionary thing... and yes there is a lot of future money on the line but he is being paid a lot of money to pitch for the Brewers. I play through injuries all the time and I don't paid a penny so defend Jen Sheets all you want but I am sorry in a playoff race you have to suck it up and pitch through things like split ends.. and yes I realize this rant is childish and immature but I am out of patience with him at this point.
  15. What? what are you going to do in Seattle? Watch NBA basketball?
  16. Do you think Red Sox fans are falling off their couches laughing watching Gagne blow up again last night and then Sveum incorrectly sending a runner home?
  17. If he had struck out instead people would be complaining that he went 3 for 6. He scored two runs. And if Sal doesn't let David Murphy get the hit then Weeks error is meaningless, if we want to play ifs and buts. I know that IF the ball hits me in the glove I would catch it at first BUT then again I am not scared of contact like Rickie.. I mean his major problem is he rushes DP's.. doesn't that make you believe he is nervous about the runner.. that was the worse case of alligator arms I have ever seen..
  18. Lawrie had doubles this spring against MLB pitchers Kyle Davies ad Luke Hochevar. He's faced higher caliber pitchers than Fryer has seen this year. I like Fryer, as he's regarded as a top athlete, but his bat isn't in Lawrie's league. This is the 1st time in Fryer's career he has hit. Don't call Lawrie a HS hitter, as he hasn't faced typical HS caliber pitchers since he was 14.Ok.. I REALLY cede the point.. is that better?
  19. I cede you the point sir.. 1. Salome 1a. Lucroy 3. Lawrie 4. Fryer
  20. Well first of all Hardy's error caused one of them to be unearned.. second Rickie only really had 3 hits since he got thrown out on one of them.. and then gave a free run with his alligator arms to lose the game.. so lots of blame to go around but only one player had a chance to not lose the game by catching a ball that hit them in the glove..
  21. Rickie, it was great... have fun playing in Washington next year.
  22. For those statheads who don't think BA matters I present this at bat as my argument that it does matter..
  23. This is an automatic win.. no way Rickie can puke the game away on the base paths, in the field, and in the final at bat can he? I mean seriously.. this is Dumb and Dumber momeny.. Rickie time to totally redeem yourself..
  24. With Nelson and Sabathia now on the team it might be dangerous to hit a walk off..
  25. Great.. now my hopes are up..
