    I don't really see any reason for them to fast track Brantley. Until he develops some power, his effectiveness at the MLB level would be pretty limited. (MLB pitchers aren't going to walk him) LaPorta is really making a case. Braun's OPS at Hunstville was .956. But again, there are plenty of outfielders in AAA.

    I think you might be right. Mark A is still under pressure to show we aren't "the same old Brewers". The average fan would be irate if Prince left via free agency (or worse, a trade), because they don't always understand the economic aspect of these long term deals. The truth is, Prince leaving before he hits 30 years is probably the best move for the Brewers.

    Gamel has on OPS of .848 right now. He is batting 3rd. I really surprised he only has 11 RBIs right now. He has an .633 OPS with runners in scoring position. I hope that is just a small sample anomoly. LaPorta has 22 RBIs. Brantley has 11 RBIs. Escobar has 14. Gillespie has 13.

    Baseball America's take on Butler... At his best, Butler has an average fastball that can touch 94 mph and two good breaking balls. With his delivery and frame I always thought he was best suited as a middle guy but he is athletic and could exceed my expectations. I thought it was a good deal for both clubs as I've indicated.
