  1. The Brewers do get millions to spend on players. They are one of the top recipients of revenue sharing (as they should be). Sorry, I meant Hundreds of Millions, which is what Levine implies.
  2. This is what bothers me the most. Not that he is taking a shot back to defend his team and their policies, but that he words it in a way to make it sound like the Brewers themselves get Millions of dollars to spend on players. It makes the Brewers front office look very bad.
  3. Managing Issues in Today's game. 1) Lineup - Edmonds should not have been starting. And if you are going to start him, why bat him next to our other left handed batter? He could have just split them with McGehee and been fine. 2) Yo's pitch count. Sending him out in 7th with 96 pitches already was foolish. He was lucky to get out under 110 by getting that double play. 3) Not pinch hitting Hart for Edmonds. You have to put yourself in the best position to win at that moment. If Edmonds gets out, who cares if we don't have another RH batter on the bench.
  4. i cannot write the words on this forum that would clearly express how I feel about Ken Macha at this moment.
  5. Its jim edmonds fault if yovanni gets hurt later this year.
  6. Again, I'm not an Edmonds fan, but to judge him on one game, against a pitcher like Jimenez is not fair. I agree... but years with the Cardinals and Cubs is enough for me.
  7. I can think of two reasons why I didn't want Edmonds starting today...
  8. I'm really not excited to see Jim Edmonds in the starting lineup... too much is being put into the Spring Training Numbers.
  9. that seems pretty dumb, since he seems to be against running in front of Braun and Prince...
  10. Signing early gave Braun financial security enough to invest in a clothing line as well as the restaurant industry. He's using that security to invest in his future as well.
  11. Along with this, I still don't understand why the Crew isn't doing anything to commemorate their 40th season of baseball. The Bobblehead series this season is commemorating memories from each of the 4 decades of Brewers baseball.
  12. I could have played if it was Monday or Wednesday. I'm already committed to teams on the other 5 days. Sorry.
  13. You expect them to bat Gomez 9th? Wow... i wish i could expect that.
  14. Suppan and Gamel are not on the opening Day roster.
  15. Milwaukee IP H R ER BB SO HR ERA Narveson 2.0 0 0 0 1 3 0 0.00 Through 2 innings... looking pretty darn good
  16. Have to say a bit surprised by the low totals all around with 9 games vs PIT & WAS, and a home opener series vs COL where I think we'll take at least 2. Not really fearing the flubs at MP either. My home sweep of STL is my eye-popper! Colorado is a very good team and will probably win the NL West.
