  1. Those may be some of the coolest diagrams I've ever seen. Thanks!
  2. However, if in the case we are discussing above (runs after 2 outs in an inning with an error)... if there is a pitching change, any runs given up by that pitcher (batters he is responsible for) would be earned. For example, groung ball out, fly ball out, error on the SS, a HR, then a walk. The pitcher is pulled. Reliever comes up and gives up a walk and a HR before getting the last out. 3 Runs are charged to the first pitcher, none earned. Two runs are charged to the second pitcher, both earned.
  3. Tejada's been pretty solid too.
  4. Earned vs. Unearned doesn't refer to what the pitcher did, it refers to whether or not the batting team "earned" the run(s).
  5. As much as I commend Ned for having the pitcher bat 8th, I think he kinda missed the point. I was under the impression that you should consider Kendall the leadoff and weeks the 2 hitter, putting Fielder and Braun at the 2 and 3 spots in the lineup to get them more plate appearances. Solid idea Ned, but poor execution.
  6. I would guess Gamel would play 1B if Fielder was traded.

  8. I still think Hall is a below average player and would LOVE to trade him ASAP!
  9. The 2005 draft was absolutely sick
  10. I guess I don't see how you can say this team is not going to make the playoffs. Other than Braun, Hart, Kendall, and Sheets, none of our players have really played up to their potential, or even average expectations. If they are able to hang around for a month or so longer, there is no reason to believe that Melvin won't go after a mid to top end starter. We seem to have a lot of arms that we are willing to throw in the bullpen and maybe (just maybe) Ned is starting to hold some guys accountable for their performances. I'm not giving up yet, not saying its likely, but definitely still cheering hard.
  11. As big a hit or game that was, it does not even come close to saving the season. There is not sample smaller than 3-5 weeks that can "save" save a season. Not a pitch, AB, run, Home Run, Game, Series, or Week can change the outcome of a season drastically. But I do love me some Gabe Kapler! http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  12. I'm a huge Hardy fan... but definitely not for his speed. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  13. Did vargas ever go 7 for us last year? I'm too upset to actually look it up myself.
  14. oh how nice it will be seeing another lefty in the lineup... I love me some 3TO!!!
  15. well, my money is gone....
  16. Yeah... if i had a lot of spare change I would. I actually follow the odds very closely in vegas, but I do believe that a lot of bettors are casual fans and especially early in the year, its easy to get swayed by a teams record as a marker of their actual talent level. I also know that Gorzelanny had a couple rough starts against the cubs and outside of those he's been ok. But the crew is seeing the ball well right now and are playing with a lot of confidence, I don't go into a series expecting a sweep, but coming out with the first two games in the way they did makes me expect a sweep after tonight.
  17. But it was all made up yesterday when Rome finally got to interview Braun, it was well done. Big fan of Rome and big fan of Braun so win, win. No... win, win, WIN.
  18. TGJ has had a total of 17 ABs this Month and his line has dropped from .333/.421/.400/.821 on april 30th to .219/.316/.250/.566. Send him down to AAA to get some ABs or trade him for Randy Wolf. FREE RUSSELL BRANYAN!!!
  19. I see it being better than a 22% chance. I would be willing to put a lot of money on taking tonights game and the Sheets start, then we just have to take 2 out of 3 from Suppan, McClung, and Parra. Here are the pitching matchups. Bush (6.05) vs. Gorzelanny (6.64) Suppan (4.78) vs. Perez (4.34) McClung (3.54) vs. Lannan (3.40) Parra (4.40) vs. Redding (3.16) Sheets (2.92) vs. TBD (I'm assuming Bergman, 5.47)
  20. You can't lump Clay into Reuben or Taylor. Clay has had much greater success than either of those two artists.
  21. My approach is the more correct one (IMO, obviously) and while it showed the Brewers had faced above average talent, it wasn't dramatic. If I get a chance I will try to update my SOS for the Brewers, Cubs and Cardinals. If anyone cares. Not if it makes us lose hope http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  22. I love the first comment on that article and how false it is... way to go comment number 2 http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  23. Didn't Lance Berkman man CF for part of his career?
  24. I would agree that over the last few weeks it was inevitable that it would be a David vs. David final, but I do believe that any of Jason Castro, Michael Johns, Sayesha Mercado, Carly Smithson, Brooke White, and even Chikezie could have won seasons 2, 3, and 5. You can't say that the rest of the field wasn't talented just because Cook and Archuleta were that much better. I truly believe that this years winner will only come second to Kelly Clarkson in level of success (if David Cook wins, he may pass KC).
  25. If anyone is into pop-rock style, I would really suggest listening to some of David Cook's songs. He has done some pretty awsome covers of Billy Jean (Michael Jackson), Baba O'Reilly (The Who), Eleanor Rigby (The Beatles), I'm Alive (Neil Diamond0, Innocent (Our Lady Peace), Always Be My Baby (Miriah Carey... I know), and I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For (U2).
