Well, that figures....Blum, a Brewer killer, hits a 3-run HR off Looper, who's practically the Santa Claus of giving up HR's. Time to break out the bats again...had to figure 2 runs wasn't gonna be enough.

I really hope Castro's just being re-assigned. If any coach needed to be dismissed, it would have to be Fischer. Hall being DFA'd is a miracle. Escobar starting at SS now? Count me in as excited for that. I hope Hardy gets things together, and maybe we can find another suitor for him in the offseason. As much as I'd hate to see him go, there's another guy waiting, and there's simply no room for him. I don't know much about Bourgeois, but I suppose it's worth a shot.

I don't go back until the 2nd. I don't look forward to the first day or so until about mid-august when we register. Thankfully, it's my last year....of high school that is.

Funny, I used to work at both Culvers AND Arby's http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif I tried the Bacon/Cheese 1/3 pounder from McD's the other day, and it was excellent. It reminded me of the Bacon/Cheese Thickburger at Hardee's.

I agree with McD's fries being really bad, and getting worse over time. They just used to be really salty, but now with all the health concerns, they just reduce the amount you get. I think Culver's fries are pretty decent, but I know people that actually DO go there JUST for the fries. I agree BK has some of the best fries, but then again, I'm more of a curly fries/cheese curds kinda guy http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif

Apparently, he's in much better shape, and he's been working with a former pitching coach to correct a "minor mechanical flaw". He'll be throwing for teams within 7-10 days. Link EDIT: I remembered there was already a topic about Mulder, so I just deleted my separate thread and posted it here.

In a corresponding move, Jorge Julio has been released. He had a 5.96 ERA and a 24/15 K/BB ratio in 22 2/3 innings this season with Triple-A Durham. Also, the Rays have DFA'd both Joe Dillon and R.J. Swindle (yes, the R.J. Swindle they just claimed on waivers the other day). Link and Link
