  1. You are banned from making predictions or having special feelings.. (Price a Brewer...10 game lead on STL.) Please stop It's not over with. The fallacy that we will win this game because of Lohse is long over with.
  2. Really? Price? Wainwright? It happens. Thanks for the confirmation of my opinion.
  3. Masterson isn't even throwing strikes. Only Overbay and Parra have figured it out. Gennett got ahead then rolled one over for a tailor made GIDP.

  5. Sure, if we end the month with a 4-5-6 game lead, I'll give you the credit!! I have an unusually good feeling about the Brewers going into this month. The Brewers SEEM to deal with aces as well as anyone and we certainly have our share this month. Not wanting the credit, just setting my hopes low. The disappointment over the last few months of under .500 ball hurts less when you don't predict 20-7. So this time, I'll predict 11-16 and let the reverse jinx do its thing.
  6. Can we just let the anti-jinx work here?
  7. I've said time and time again. They way to retaliate is intentionally walk their pitcher and then throw over to 1st base about 6 consecutive times with your first baseman applying a slap tag to the pitcher's dome as hard as possible. If he quits/doesnt slide in, then just slap it to his chest. Never again will that pitcher bean your team. Ever!
  8. Cant complain about the scoreboard watching tonight. Washington loses Dodgers behind Braves behind Pirates behind Giants appear to be the only winners...and Cincy I guess if you believe in them.
  9. You may want to do some edits then, I think you have the A's losing the WS
  10. http://i.imgur.com/seh6p.gif Looking at STL's schedule, I'm fairly certain they could be 9 games better than Milw in August alone. Especially if they get all three head to head. Brewers are what... 8 games under .500 over their last 50? I really think the smoke n mirrors from spring is over and the inferior pitching matchups will do them in.
  11. (3) at Saint Louis (Wainwright, Masterson, Lynn) 0-3 (3) vs SanFrancisco (Lincecum, Vogelsong, Peavy) 1-2 (3) vs Los Angeles (Beckett, Greinke, Kershaw) 0-3 (4) at Chicago North (Arietta, Hendricks, Wata, Jackson) 3-1 (3) at Los Angeles (Kershaw, Haren, Ryu) 1-2 (2) vs Toronto (Happ, Dickey) 1-1 (3) vs Pittsburg (Locke, Volquez, Worley) 2-1 (3) at San Diego (Kennedy, Ross, Hahn) 2-1 (3) at SanFrancisco (Vogelsong, Peavy, Bumgarner) 1-2 August Total - 11 - 16 Pirates (13-15), decent tough stretch Detroit twice, Washington, Atlanta, Saint Louis, Milwaukee after a cake first 9 games. Cardinals (21-8), they dont really play anybody the rest of the year. Standings going into September Saint Louis 78-58 Milwaukee 71-65 7 GB (Trailing both Atlanta and SanFrancisco by a couple for the WC) Pittsburg 70-66 8 GB

David Price MVP
  13. A STL Loss tonight (Wed vs SDP) doesnt get us to 53...it actually would cause Pittsburg to move into 2nd and the magic numbe would stay 54. That said, go Padres!
  14. Uggla released again by the Giants. No corresponding move. Wonder if that means they are freeing a spot on the 40 man for an acquisition specifically at 2b?
  15. What likely would Lester cost the Pirates?
  16. Barring a major injury Price would pitch throughout 2015 as well. If that is the goal, he can likely be had for less of a return in January of 2015.
  17. I hope we just stand pat. There isn't an offensive acquisition that I think Melvin makes that can help this team make the post-season, let alone be a factor in it. So Price pitches every 5th day for maybe 7 or 8 starts before the deadline. When we can't hit for beans and strike out 15 times a game, what difference will it make when Price throws 8 innings of 1 run ball? This team is not a 10 game over .500 ballclub in terms of talent as it has played to thus far this season. Strictly my opinion. I don't really want to waste 6 years of control for multiple players for 8 starts of David Price. It's probably a pessimistic approach brought on by the scuffles of July, but I just have a feeling we could acquire Price for him to pitch magnificent in his games, go 4-5 in those games with garbage run support, this team goes 24-30 over that stretch while Pitt and STL play 30-24 and we miss the playoffs by a handful. Oh and we lost 6 years of control to 3 guys. But woohoo, we got to see Price pitch for 8 games!
  18. Meat for sale at the front door...nobody home
  19. When you only throw 1 borderline strike in a sequence of 7 pitches, it's tough to get a call.
  20. That strike 3 to Loney should have been a HBP. Tee hee!
  21. STL is off AGAIN?!?!? What is that, their 4th day off in a week?
