  1. We may be the worst defensive infield in major league baseball.
  2. At this point it is funny to me, because Ned has been doing this every year he has been here. He has his guys, and he runs them all into the ground until it is completely obvious they can't get the job done. Hopefully someone, anyone, can hit a solo home run because that's what we do best.
  3. David Riske is up in the bullpen? Are you kidding me. I'd rather leave Gagné on the mound. Just sayin'.
  4. Torres, not Shouse Ned. Please. The Cubs are getting hammered, Phillies already won. How many opportunities can we really afford to blow here?
  5. Well, that didn't take long now did it. Ah, the allure of the hold and the save. It drives all managers to insanity.
  6. Gagné up in the pen. Get the straightjackets ready, people are going to go crazy if he gives up the lead.
  7. CC is awesome. Dude is going to get paid. I must admit I like how at big moments of the game BA and Bill tend to let the crowd tell the story instead of talking over everything.
  8. Tonight Kendall's facial hair can be considered moreso workman-like than gritty. And hey, a RISP hit!
  9. Negative retro mojo aside, tonight will be a night of positivity. At least we can hope. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  10. Chip Ambres is the Padres CF, batting 6th.
  11. Lineups: BREWERS 2B Ray Durham SS JJ Hardy LF Ryan Braun 1B Prince Fielder RF Corey Hart CF Mike Cameron 3B Bill Hall C Jason Kendall P CC Sabathia PADRES RF Brian Giles SS Luis Rodriguez 3B Kevin Kouzmanoff 1B Adrian Gonzalez LF Chase Headley 2B Edgar Gonzalez C Nick Hundley P Josh Geer CF = ?? I'm guessing TH forgot that the Padres can have 9 players. lol
  12. It is, TH has it up on the Brewers blog and ESPN has picked it up. I don't think Lamb can be any worse than any member of our current 3B platoon or any late game PH option.
  13. 1) Even if the only work experience you've had is volunteer experience, you can put that. 2) Based on what you'd be interested in doing, you could always gear your resume to represent the knowledge and skills you've learned in your education towards that. 3) If you are looking for any kind of just random job, temp agency work might not be bad for some customer service experience, the same can be said for a lot of retail establishments.
  14. In their four consecutive losses, the Brewers are 7 for 46 (.152) with RISP. Awesome. We're almost half way to that record of mediocrity we had a few months ago when we were like 13 for 102.
  15. "We're not struggling on offense, we've just run into some good pitching. This is playoff caliber pitching."
  16. Even with the 4 game losing streak we are 5 games out of first and 4 up in the wildcard. It could still be a lot worse, but if we don't stop stranding small villages of baserunners it won't matter. Playing defense better than an A ball team would help, too.
  17. Ned will use Brad Nelson to pinch hit for the pitcher. And of course he won't pinch hit for Kendall. Or Weeks.
  18. We swing at some awful pitches. Then an attempted bunt base hit. Yikes.
  19. There needs to be a Rickie Weeks "spin the wheel of fail" to figure out what bad thing he'll do in every game. That would definitely be on there.
  20. Our offense looks like it is sleepwalking through this game against Estes. I know things are never as bad as they seem, but this homestand to date is pretty pathetic.
  21. The Cubs are dead last with runners in scoring position and 2 out with a .208 BA. We're only ahead of them and Oakland with a .211 BA. 5th to last in OBP, 7th to last in SLG. We're pretty bad. lol
  22. Believe it or not, only Cincinnati, Washington, and Tampa Bay are worse than us with RISP average wise. We are only in front of Seattle and San Diego in OBP. We're about middle of the pack in slugging.
  23. Hooray, soft tossing left handers. 8 runners stranded in 4 innings. We're on pace to strand 18 runners. Nice.
  24. Here comes the slash play. Lets just hope we don't run into any outs.
