    Hopefully it is just as simple as Sheets telling Ned "I got nothin'" and Ned being proactive and taking him out. No one looks terribly concerned so that is encouraging. That said, I don't have a good feeling about how this game will turn out with the bullpen entrusted to hold a lead over 4 innings.

    FWIW, John Kruk thinks it should be overturned. I am fairly sure they won't overturn it, but you never know.

    I doubt it is a no-no, as all of the players and their likenesses are technically owned by MLB, not their specific team. That is how minor league teams get away with giving Weeks, Braun, etc. bobbleheads away I'm guessing. Plus when a guy gets traded his giveaway doesn't get canceled (see: Bob Wickman poster day, at least I think that is what it was).

    If we win the world series, yes. If he miraculously stays with us it would be a no brainer. Otherwise, no.

    I'm guessing that played into it. LaRoche isn't exactly a speed burner, so if a guy like Morgan, McLouth, etc. hits that it is a more legitimate hit. I can see why it was called a hit because that is called a hit about 60-70% of the time anyway unless a guy like Johnny Estrada is running, it is just a shame it cost CC a no-no.

    14-12 still puts us in a good spot. The biggest competition for the wildcard is going to come out of the east because both the Phillies and Mets get to get fat on Atlanta and Washington who have packed up for the summer, and Florida who is fading fast.

    Mets at Home - 1-2 Padres at Home - 3-1 Reds at Home - 2-1 Away at Philadelphia - 2-2 Away at Chicago - 2-1 Away at Cincy - 1-2 Pirates at Home - 3-0 Cubs at Home - 2-1 Brewers: 16-10. The pessimist in me says 14-12 because I can see us losing both series to Cinci and either 2 of 3 in Chicago or 3 of 4 in Philly, but I'll go with optimism! We have CC and Sheets going against the Cubs both times, which bodes well hopefully. And for fun, the Cubs go 15-10 making the last series of the year irrelevant. The Cardinals go 14-11, Mets 16-9, and the Phillies 17-8, feasting on schedule of cupcake quality opponents that resemble McNeese State (18 of their last 25 are against WSH, ATL and FLA). Mets and Phillies have a one game playoff to decide the division winner and the Mets bullpen chokes up the win in epic fashion. Brewers clinch the last week of the season while watching the sleeping giants get slapped around in the desert. Most assuredly Daron Sutton will be excited.

    I figured I'd bump this thread instead of creating a new one. My current phone, a Nokia 6682, has stopped working and it looks like I need to buy a new phone. My contract with ATT is almost up and I'm considering whether I should change providers as well. I've looked at US Cellular and they are the main provider I may go to. They have a better text messaging plan as ATT charges you for incoming and outgoing texts, while US is just outgoing. As for the type of phone I'm looking at, I'm thinking about maybe a Blackberry Curve or Pearl, even though I don't want the $30 per month blackberry plan, I just think the phone is cool. Any suggestions for other types of smartphone or provider? http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif

    The Cubs offense vs. Moyer scares me. Hopefully Wandy Rodriguez can pitch well against those sleeping giants and get a sweep for the Astros.

    TWC subscriber here, I have the Jewlery channel on both 63 and 192, which is supposed to be its new channel I guess. Hopefully they flip the switch on this thing sometime tonight.
