  8. Tying run walks in Cubs get lucky once again Very frustrating
  9. Phillies with the lead Cubs assuredly will tie Ramirez is clutch
  10. Lineup on the blog Weeks, Hardy, Braun, and Fielder Typical top four Hart, Cameron, Hall Kendall, pitcher is Dave Bush Brewers stomp Pirates
  11. To keep with the regular thread's theme, a haiku. Cubs and Phils day game Whiny Cards against Astros extend the lead please
  12. Two LaRoches, both bad Disappointment to be had Pirates scouts are sad
  13. Hot Cubs keep winning Bitter Cardinals crying Brewers must keep pace
  14. I forgot Javier Valentin and Nyjer Morgan. Mark DeRosa annoys me, too.
  15. I honestly think this road trip will decide the fate of our season. I figure we'll at least hold serve at home, but both the Cubs and Phillies are good teams and the Reds always play us tough. If we can at least go .500 we will be okay, but if we put up a 3-7 or worse we'll be in some trouble.
  16. Brewers weakest link Bullpen perpetrating stink Bush gives day of rest
  17. Yup, we definitely had chances to add on tonight and failed to do so. We do still have the top of the order for the 9th, but that tack on run there didn't help. Our bullpen is still our weakest link. Waiver wire deal anyone?
  18. Well this turned out swimmingly. Yuck. Crazy idea, IBB Molina and bring in Shouse to face the lefties coming up?
  19. I don't like the prospect of this game going to extra innings. Glaus and Molina are up here so this is Riske's inning to lose.
  20. http://d.yimg.com/us.yimg.com/p/ap/20080824/capt.29791bb7004a4f4b9b61d8544f878d72.braves_cardinals_baseball_mojr101.jpg Guess who is watching his home run... hmmm. Riske being in isn't exactly confidence inspiring, but lets hope he can get through the meat of this order.
  21. http://i122.photobucket.com/albums/o254/gjenkins05/2190217135_ba1f2e0156.jpg Carlos once again shows he is the king. And the Cardinals can go parade their umpire questioning, helmet throwing virtues somewhere else. Pujols is as big of a home run gawker as anybody and I'm sure there have been many a fist pump from their pitchers over the year.
  22. Carlos, please get out of this inning. Cuzzi has a huge zone tonight, use it to your advantage.
  23. Well, a solo HR is better than a 2 or 3 run shot.
  24. Cameron has been on fire lately. We should have learned by now not to steal on Molina. Thankfully, Cesar Izturis is a Cardinal.
  25. That's a weak move by the Cardinals. Instead of being baited, if we win Ned should just instead untuck his shirt and join the high five/fist pound line with his shirt untucked while looking at LaRussa.
