This will be a big weekend for us to keep pace with the Cubs and Cardinals, as both are playing teams who have already packed up for the summer. Lucky for us we've handled Duke fairly well in his career as he has an ERA of just under 5 against us.

The inconsistency of our offense is maddening. Every team has those days though, I guess. Except the Cubs.

I'm not a TGJ guy, but I'm also not a Nix guy so I am a man without an island. I'm definitely a Braun guy, though. Nice job, Mota. The Mota relief fund hotlines can stay closed for the evening.
  4. thablingster
I've gotta give it to Mota, granted he has been pitching a lot of low stress innings but he has looked better in the past month or so.

With Braun down and a day game tomorrow, odds are Nix will be starting anyway. At that juncture I'd almost have TGJ and his noodle-bat, but eh. I just think this game is frustrating. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif

If we're still complaining about Ben Sheets, don't forget his merry-go-round of base hits against the Cubs. Not complaining, just saying.
  7. thablingster
Hey, Laynce Nix can make contact. I'll be. It would be nice to at least get 1 back here.
  8. thablingster
Congrats to Sabathia for overcoming Ned's every attempt to leave him on the mound to die as he has done with every pitcher on the staff at some point this year.
  9. thablingster
Is Ned waiting until this is a save situation so he can use Torres?
  10. thablingster
You could definitely tell Braun was favoring the ribs after that last swing.
  11. thablingster
CC can rake. Hooray, runs. It is definitely good to see us get off to a nice start against the 'stros.
  12. thablingster
A win is a win. That one will feel good in the clubhouse tonight.
  13. thablingster
JJ, you have redeemed yourself for now.
  14. thablingster
Our defense is betraying us. Not much Craig can do about that, just a bad bounce.
  15. thablingster
Wow, that was the most routine ground ball you'll ever see.
  16. thablingster
I'm glad to see Braun is in good enough health they feel comfortable leaving him in the game.
  17. thablingster
I'd have preferred to save him for a higher leverage situation, that's all. But that's why I'm not a MLB manager, huh?
  18. thablingster
Ah, how we love the home run ball.
  19. thablingster
Braun pinch hitting to lead off the inning doesn't make a whole lot of sense, but whatever. I'd guess if he gets on they may pinch run for him with a pitcher just in case.
  20. thablingster
That was an awesome catch by Kapler. Now here comes Ned to pinch hit for Bush with Laynce Nix.
  21. thablingster
Walking Broxton is Villanueva's secret plan to make him tired for the 9th inning so we can tie the game off of him.

This is my first year of having it on PS3, so I didn't know it was in last year. I like having the lateral just for the flexibility, it makes things exciting.
  23. thablingster
The best part of the game is after years and years and years of not doing it they finally added the lateral in. The game's controls are fairly analogous to NCAA Football 09, although I probably won't start my Madden season until the first roster update is out.

Solomon Juneau Business/Charter High School, Class of 2000. Colors: Navy blue and white Team Name: Pioneers Mascot: Bucky Pioneer Our calling card was sucking at all sports. The only team we could beat at football was North Division, so we'd always play them or Riverside for homecoming. We were really good at debate and chess though. We were in the championship game at state in 2000 for Chess and lost to a school from Madison, ending up in 4th place even though we beat the second and third place teams. I was 4th board on our varsity and went 4-0-2 at state that year. Our most famous alum, Astronaut James Lovell.

Well, the Mo deal is a ridiculously bad deal for the Bucks, but as some people said it is kind of addition by subtraction. It does get the team one step closer to blowing up the team and getting the kind of guys in here that fit what the team is trying to do, but it will probably be a rough year this year.
