  2. I'm pretty sure the media already did that job of asking Weeks about why he slowed up and making him be accountable for it, so there would be no need to be very stiff about it. Like someone else said, have Levya say something to him about it in passing but not so much that it becomes a big issue.
  3. The Cubs are wearing out the Rockies pitching like they wore out ours.
  4. Too little too late Colorado. This sucks. At least part of me expected it.
  5. Ryan Braun is not only awesome on the field, but he's willing to stand up and give the answers most fans want to hear after the game.
  6. I'll take "things that make us cry" for 500.
  7. I'm rarely a Ned basher, but today I feel he's done an awful job managing the bullpen. Using Carlos Villanueva down 11 runs is stupid, especially considering whether they want to admit it or not he is tired. His velocity being down shows that. If Manny Parra can't pitch on 2 days of rest after throwing one inning Sunday and resting for 3 days after throwing 6 1/3rd last Wednesday, he shouldn't be on the big league club right now. As for leaving Gallardo out there to die, on one hand I can understand it, but on the otherhand this is a 21 year old kid who they hope to keep an innings count down for. Throwing 80 pitches in 2+ innings is like a 5 or 6 inning start if he's throwing well. I am very dissatisfied with our play in this series.
  8. Stop the losing streak Continued bobblehead day Chris deserves better
  9. "It's just for decoration! ... it was being installed on their car." "that's only in the mornin'!" I have a clip of Bubb Rubb doing the woo woo as my message alert tone on my cell phone http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/laugh.gif
  10. I work as a counselor and we're pretty much told the same thing--keep your identity to yourself as much as possible on the internet. The reality is though if someone really wants to track you down on the internet, they probably could do it anyway. I like man of leisure if you're going to change. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  11. I am probably in the minority on this, but it bugs me when at concerts, miller park on autograph days, etc. people run whenever the doors are open, no matter where they were in line. If I got there 2 hours before you, I'd appreciate you not trying to push me out of the way so you can run past me and get front row, be first in the autograph line or whatever. I personally just think it is stupid, but like I said I'm probably in the minority on that.
  12. Wes has a point, although I can only think of one former Brewer I'd legitimately boo. I find that the more we boo/heckle someone the better they do. Except Eric Owens, but that was back at County Stadium, lol.
  13. I have no problem with Ned putting Wise out there for the 9th. It is disappointing Wise didn't perform and hasn't gotten an out in a week and a half, but what can you do. Ned did go get him at the first signs of trouble. Coco didn't get the job done today, which doesn't mean Wise should be pardoned for his efforts, but today's loss isn't all his fault, either. I think Wise is really battling himself right now while trying to be too perfect and overthinking his pitches, which is not a good thing for him.
  14. I will be there today, section 127. Last night was an awesome win, don't let us down today 'crew! Soup, my friends from Cali came to see you pitch. Put up some zeros! http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  15. Ever since the "hamstring" incident, Johnny Estrada has been hitting well and running(!) the bases.

  17. I'm going to assume the Mets had either Wagner or Schoeneweis ready had Ned pinch hit with Jenkins, just as the Mets had Sosa ready today when we pinch hit Mench for the pitchers spot with Schoeneweis on the mound. It basically comes down to do you want Mench against a RHP or Jenkins against a LHP in that situation.
  18. Rookie of the Month Press Release Player of the Month Press Release
  19. I figured Prince was due for a bomb when they said he was in the longest HR drought of his career. That was an absolute bomb.
  20. We are usually boom or bust against OP. Lets hope for a couple of booms courtesy of Ryan Braun and Bill Hall. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/happy.gif
  21. So when Linebrink comes back, do we send Parra back to Nashville, or at that point does Elmer get traded/DFA'ed?
  22. I was very frustrated with the people incessantly doing the wave in the 8th inning when we were trying to rally, and I would laugh when the wave died not even half way through terrace reserved. Maybe I am just being nitpicky, but when the team is actually trying to rally, the wave is unnecessary.
  23. Vista isn't as terrible as I'd feared/heard. I was skeptical of it when I got my new computer, but it isn't bad. Of course there are a few software incompatibilities here and there, but for the most part you can put older stuff on Vista. I haven't noticed too many differences, and some stuff I even like more than what was on XP.
  24. Yost said Vargas will be moved up to start tomorrow and they'll play it by ear from there.
  25. This win has to give the team bucketloads of confidence. Yes, we struggled with RISP, timely hitting, and fundamental hitting. Our pitching kept us in it, Spurling did a great job, as did Shouse, Villanueva, Turnbow, and Cordero. If nothing else, this should help to restore the bullpen's confidence.
