  1. Anyone else notice Drew Olson sitting next to the Doorman tonight? Nice job Corey, just what we need.
  2. Feel free ELCABALLO. With the teams that lost, this is becoming a must win.
  3. Hopefully this means we won't see Gagme tonight.
  4. With some of the decisions Yost makes(Bill Hall, Eric Gagne), it almost makes you ask yoursef if Yost is betting on baseball.
  5. I've listened to ESPN 540am and 1250am both quite a lot. I like Tim Allen on 1250, but I pretty much can't stand the rest of it. Lots of negativity and many of their callers(not all of them) are completely idiotic. On 540am, there aren't as many callers, but you can't beat the baseball knowledge that they provide and the rational for the analysis they give.
  6. I would gladly take a .250 over what the Brewers have right now at 3rd Base. Replace Gamel when it becomes defensively necessary at the end of games. The offense can't be any worse than it is right now. Bill Hall has 400 AB's, and he's still hitting .230. The only thing consistent about Hall is that he's consistently bad. He's had enough opportunities to straiten himself out and stay sharp. Hall has been very professional and a huge team player for everything they've asked him to do. But, when do the needs of the entire organization to put the best team out there during a playoff run outweigh putting a guy hitting .230 out there that is consistently striking out when there just might be a another guy on the bench that can do better? I say give Gamel a chance and see what happens.
  7. Baseball can't survive in Florida for some reason, there's just no intrest. Look at the Rays, they're in 1st place and they are only averaging just above 21,000 people a game. The Marlins are just under 16,700. That's sad.

  10. Weeks was out. I don't know what Schroeder is complaining about. It was a bad play by Weeks pure and simple by not hustling.
  11. Fabulous. Gagne. They were talking about it last night a bit, but if the Brewers face the Mets in the first round and put Stetter on the roster, who gets left off?
  12. My brother told me that next season all the Brewer games will be available in HD on FSN. It would make sense since they had so many this year and the demand for HD programming, but has anyone else heard this? I haven't found anything on it.
  13. If this has a thread already, I apologize because I couldn't find it. IF, and I say IF, our Milwaukee Brewers make the playoffs, can anyone give any insight as to what prices are going to be for the tickets? I heard from someone the other day who was a season ticket holder that it was just over $2000 if every game that was possibe to be played at Miller Park were played, and I'm not sure where that person's seats are. I'm sure the prices will go up for each different round.
  14. The $900K is the money the Phillies gave him based on their point system, I believe. Similar to the situation that happened with Fielder this year and how much he is making.
  15. I don't know if I'm just an idiot or what, but what do the numbers in parenthesis mean next to the team name in the NL Central standings?
  16. I didn't take into account Counsell's recent performance. When I made my comment, it was only in reference to he amount of SO's per at bat for Hall, Branyan, and Counsell over the course of the season. How bad does it suck that out of 3 guys, the Brewers can't get anyone to do a decent job on a consistent basis.
  17. With Counsell, I can only think that with the offense struggling mightly right now, he's looking for guys that can make contact with the ball. You give yourself a much better chance to get on base when you swing the bat, rather than watch strike 3 fly right down the middle and then looked perplexed at why the ump called you out.
  18. Is that stat correct, that Parra hasn't given up a HR in his last 51 1/3 innings???
  19. I have no problems calling it Wrigley North. It may suck, but you can't argue it. As a fan base as a whole, we deserve it. The Cubs get a huge following up here and until the Brewer fans take back Miller Park for these Cubs' series, it's going to continue to be that way. Brewer fans should take it as a challenge to buy more of the tickets and change the moniker. I think part of the reason Cubs' fans do get so many tickets is that they are used to paying more for tickets down in Chicago. Coming up here and spending extra money to get those tickets that people are selling isn't that big of a deal to them.
  20. I don't know what I'm more frustrated or ticked off at-how bad the Brewers are playing or the fact that there are about 30,000 Cubs fans at the game. What an embarrassment.
  21. I wish Lee would stop fouling off pitches and just hit the GS. Get the mauling over with.
  22. The Prince of Darkness has really gotten snippy towards the Brewers the last couple of days. He's made some comments on the blog and articles pretty much calling out Ned Yost. I'm glad someone is doing it. I don't really know what to think of TH sometimes, but I have to agree with him the last couple of days. When is Yost going to realize it's a pennant race? Yost should be putting the best team out there, and as long as he has Rickie Weeks in the line-up, it's not the best team. It's not like Durham was hitting .293 with only 30 at bats. He had close to 300. I don't care about Weeks mini hot-streak. We have better options than him, otherwise what was the point to trade for Durham? They could have easily brought up someone from the minors instead to put the "pressure" on Weeks.
  23. 1-8 for me so far, including 7 straight loses. March 28 KC 4 Mil 1(Exhibition) April 5 Mil 8 SF 2 April 25 Fla 3 Mil 0 May 29 Atl 8 Mil 1 June 13 Minn 10 Mil 2 June 14 Minn 9 Mil 4 June 20 Balt 8 Mil 5 July 7 Col 3 Mil 1 July 25 Hou 3 Mil 1
