  1. "Only after disaster can we be resurrected."
  2. Bill Hall has three walks while everyone else is striking out. Can we just chalk this up to the continuation of the Bizarro Road Trip?
  3. Ned should've pulled Suppan two innings ago! Another loss caused by Yost leaving the pitcher in too long!
  4. Hard to fault the batting order for a loss tonight when no one has gotten a hit.
  5. I hate this freakishly huge ballpark.
  6. Well, perhaps with a different lineup our #2 hitter wouldn't have struck out three times already Yeah, Braun would've only struck out twice.
  7. 9 K's through 5 innings, and Bill Hall doesn't have any of them. Progress.
  8. Verlander's just in a groove...wow.
  9. Hey, a base-runner! Nice eye, Billy.
  10. Well at least J.J. made contact in his first at-bat. Also, I'm waiting for Bill Hall to trip over a flock of birds tonight. That would be fun.
  11. Hey, did you know that Prince Fielder's dad used to play for the Tigers? Brewers Live just enlightened me to this fact. You would have thought that they'd make a bigger deal out of it.
  12. It's good to have multiple e-mail addresses...I just voted 50 more times for Prince using my school e-mail addy and an old Yahoo account. IIRC, Yahoo still offers free e-mail accounts for anyone interested in more ballot-stuffing. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/laugh.gif The race is probably going to get even closer...Pujols is starting to heat up, though -- he's been hitting a ton of HR's lately.
  13. I could see why Ned decided to sit Braun against Verlander...he's shown the tendency in the past to sit rookies against tough pitchers of the same hand. He sat Prince a lot against lefties at the start of last season from what I remember.
  14. Would starting Verlander on my fantasy team tonight be a conflict of interest? I don't mind playing batters against the Brewers, but I'd feel bad cheering for strikeouts and such for the first 6 innings.
  15. BREWERS WIN!! BREWERS WIN!! BREWERS WIN!! I can finally go to bed! http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/laugh.gif
  16. Not trying to dampen anyone's mood, but a reality check: we just needed a 3-run homerun in the 12th inning to avoid a 3-game sweep to the worst team in the American League. The worst team in the AL is what, the 6th best in the NL or so? http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif Marlon Byrd is really starting to tick me off. Is Vargas really the guy you want closing out a tight game? Really? Mr. "Walk the Bases Loaded Before Recording an Out"?
  17. I believe I asked if his only hit was the HR he hit in the first game of the series. I could be wrong, though...it's getting late and this game has sucked any common sense from my head. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  18. Ummmm... he has 3 hits today, including a home run in the 5th. Whoops...I missed the 2nd thru 6th innings. Guess I'm an idiot. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/embarassed.gif
  19. JENKINS!! There's the 3-run HR the Brewers have been waiting for all series. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/laugh.gif
  20. Fielder has swung at anything that has moved in this series. Is his only hit the HR in the first game?
  21. However, playoff teams don't play badly for one whole month. The Cardinals played badly for half the season last year. The Astros seem to play badly in the first half every year and find a way to get into the playoffs. The Oakland A's are known for playing average baseball for half the season before making late runs for the postseason. The Twins were bad for the first two months of the season last year. Playoff teams are capable of a bad month or two.
  22. While it's pretty funny Counsell got intentionally walked, it's pretty sad that the Rangers would rather face Hardy with the game-winning run in scoring position.
  23. I have a bad feeling about the bottom half of this inning.
  24. Ugh....how do you get thrown out by Kenny Lofton!? Seems like nothing can go right tonight...unbelievable.
  25. Kinsler's going to be very good in a couple years...that out scared the crap out of me, too.
