  1. I blame Jim Powell for saying how nice the flight to Detroit would be after winning this game in the 7th inning.
  2. Alright, leadoff double for Braun! Get him across the plate and get the hell out of Texas. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  3. Alright...let's get this done in extras. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/frown.gif What is it with CoCo and this ballpark??
  4. Marlon Byrd. Again. This is unbelievable.
  5. Jim described Braun's play as a "sure hit" that was taken away by a dive from Braun, who then made the throw to first. Hopefully it pops up on BBTN later tonight.
  6. Braun! Sounded like a web gem the way Jim called it.
  7. And now a RISP for Michael Young. Beautiful. Edit: Phew...survived that one. Now watch Sosa hit a bomb.
  8. Marlon freaking Byrd again. Aaagh.
  9. Counsell hit a HR!?! If the Brewers find a way to lose a game in which Counsell hits a HR, I may just stab myself in the eye with the nearest writing utensil I can find.
  10. Look what happens when Estrada hits seventh!! http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/laugh.gif :
  11. Seriously, I think someone kidnapped the real Prince Fielder. All of his hacks this series have been so un-Prince-like it scares me to think that he's the next one to come back down to earth when no one else is stepping up.
  12. I like Hart batting behind Prince. Then again, after experiencing Estrada batting after Prince for the better part of two months, I'd probably like Counsell batting after Prince. Edit: The bad part about having to follow this on Gameday is seeing Padilla's ugly mug all night: http://texas.rangers.mlb.com/images/players/mugshot/ph_218894.jpg
  13. I'd go for 0-5% chance that Yost gets fired over this. While the Rangers stink in the AL, I'm convinced they'd be above .500 in the NL. They've got some talent on their team...it's not like the Brewers are getting swept by the old-time Washington Senators or anything. They've got some good bats and a solid bullpen that's been doing well despite being overused due to short outings from the starters. I'm predicting a 6-5 Brewer win. As bad as the Brewers have been, they've managed to avoid getting swept more often than not (the San Diego series being the exception).
  14. As much as I'd love to see the Brewers take this game and head into Detroit on the right foot, Dave Bush pitching in Texas scares the bejeezus out of me. If Dave Bush pitches well and it's not televised, does it really happen?
  15. Wow...ballsy pitch by Sheets to give Sosa a fastball down the pipe for the third strike.
  16. Seriously, who stole the real Prince Fielder and replaced him with a left-handed Sammy Sosa?
  17. Holy crap! Counsell drives in a run!
  18. While McCarthy isn't great, he isn't horrible, either. The lack of patience is what's irking me...these Ranger starters have been beating themselves for most of the season but the Brewers are still hacking at the first pitch.
  19. Who stole Prince's plate awareness?? He's been hacking at everything lately.
  20. Looks like thrice the amount tonight. All three are barely wearing tops. Never knew Melvin was such a groupie magnet.
  21. This is a WMLW game, which explains the lack of Brewers Live. Maybe the lack of Ann Carroll will propel the Brewers to victory.
  22. It's sad that Johnny Estrada needs to sit completely to get him out of the 5 spot. I don't like both Counsell and Graffy in the lineup, but I must say that a 3-4-5 of Braun-Fielder-Hart looks pretty good. Other than that...Gwynn, Graffy, *and* Counsell in the lineup? Is Ned trying to small ball in a hitter's park?? Edit: Looks like Teixeira's quad injury might be a little more serious than originally thought...he's missing the first game in his entire career.
