This particular venting is a nice change of pace from the venting that would be going on if the Brewers just lost 2-1. If nothing else we get (mostly) new punching bags.
Seemed like it was just a matter of time. Nothing seemed right the whole night leading up to it. Even though AZ was fortunate dropping some in, it seemed like the Crew was even more fortunate that the game was as close as it was.
Well, that's the most that they can control, even if they are undefeated. If that's "all" they get it, and then win it, it will still be the best season in Badger history and it would be a shame if people lose sight of that.
Thought this was kind of cool. Excerpt from Mike McCarthy's post-game press conference yesterday: (Have you ever been part of an offense that has been this good for four games?) Hell, I don’t know. We had a good day today, number one. But we got to get better. I’m not really in the mood to reminisce. It’s been a great weekend for Wisconsin sports. We’re happy that we held up our end of the deal. Hopefully the Brewers can finish this thing off. It’s still tied when I came in here. 9-4 Who’s winning? Brewers. There you go. See. We’re having a good weekend here in Wisconsin. We’re glad to do our part.
I'd go with K-Rod. Hasn't pitched yet and this thing isn't a sure thing yet. Edit: If the lead stay same or spreads for Crew, I think about holding back on Ax. Not necessarily for rest, but to limit the ABs guys get to see him.
Is this a certainty? I haven't seen it reported anywhere yet. Edit: OK, found the report on the JS website. ======= Make it a 4-0 weekend for Wisconsin, Crew.
I thought that whole line of commentary was way overblown. Milwaukee is barely in the national eye, so their "personality" gets exaggerated and stuff from years ago gets applied to this year's team somehow.
