  1. That's all the excitement I need in extras. Ax can bore me to death with the next 3 outs and I won't complain.
  2. OK, so do we give RRR any credit for the way that unfolded?
  3. Axford gives you a lot of entertainment value out of the pen.
  4. Has Betancourt ever gone to the opposite field? Now would be a nice time to think that way.
  5. I just hope Yo isn't working on a blister, as the guys in the booth were hypothesizing. On the radio earlier, just before the homer, Ueck had a great line. He was talking about Nyjer having 2 hits in 12 attempts against Volstad. Then he added, 3 for 13 if you count the time he charged the mound.
  6. Using Casey McGehee as an example, I just taught my 4 year old the concept of negative numbers.
  7. I think you mean Dave Kerwin.Excellent.
  8. Just unlucky. Complete coincidence. The road record is just an anomaly.
  9. If there is a guy in the majors who looks more like an EnglishPremier League goaltender than Kam Loe, I don't know who it is.
  10. If this gets away, it will feel like an absolute kick in the groin.
  11. Now we need Marcum to put his last outing behind him. Win tomorrow would be great heading into a day off while staring a matchup with Wes Helms squarely in the face.
  12. Phillips-Votto-Bruce. Get through this with no damage (and without 17 piches to the last two guys) and Zach should be in a lot better shape.
  13. Nice that Reineke is a terrible hitting pitcher. That pitch was there to drive.
  14. I don't think the argument is that he's been throwing meat all year. The argument is that his bad pitches have been very hittable, and guys have been taking advantage of that. The ERA is a partial testament to that idea. His BABIP doesn't have to go down. You'd expect it to, but it doesn't have to.
