  1. So Houser bats in the 5th and doesn't even start the 6th?
  2. No. There, that was easy. He's been awful and there's nowhere to play him. Unless you want Hiura's playing time cut.
  3. Syndergaard is clearly not on the Mets list because he was on the Blue Jays list. So look at that Mets list. If it was created after Harvey went to the big leagues it's basically Wheeler, a 24 year old deGrom in A ball, Matz who is making his professional debut 3 years after he was drafted, a couple of relievers and then a bunch of garbage position players, one very well known to us in Kirk Nieuwenhuis.
  4. deGrom was a 24 year old pitching in A ball and put up fine but not spectacular numbers. Harvey was in the majors. Matz had just made his professional debut after being drafted in 2009. Syndergaard wasn't traded to the Mets until the winter of 2012.
  5. Using Miller and having Carlos Martinez warming up in a 12-2 game? I mean the pitching change with a 10 run lead with 2 outs in the 9th.
  6. Schildt is worse than Maddon and LaRussa combined.
  7. Walks by appearance 0 1 1 2 0 1 1 1 2 0 You're just so amazingly bad at this.
  8. People who actually do this for a living think you're wrong, so I'll go with them. These guys are good at their jobs, but that doesn't mean they're perfect or could truly know the depth of a system. In 2012 the Rangers ranked as Baseball America's 2nd best farm system. Their top 5 prospects were listed as Jurickson Profar, Martín Pérez, Mike Olt, Leonys Martín, and Neil Ramirez. Also in 2012 the Marlins ranked as Baseball America's 28th farm system. Their top 5 prospects were listed as Christian Yelich, Marcell Ozuna, Jose Fernandez, Matt Dominguez, and JT Realmuto. Wonderful. It's obviously an inexact science but I'll take the word of BA, MLB Pipeline and whoever else over Brew crew 92 telling me on a message board that our pitching is "ridiculously underrated, silly, ridiculously underrated, every level, every team, is loaded with them."
  9. People who actually do this for a living think you're wrong, so I'll go with them. That’s fine, I’ll go with “and that”. I’m 100% sure he knows 10,000 times more in depth knowledge on the crew’s system, than a lazy, months late take from a publication that has to cover 30 teams. You go right ahead and go with the Brewers fan, because there might not be any bias there or anything and I'm sure even he would agree that our farm system is pretty bad compared to the rest of MLB.
  10. Nelson has pitched 14 innings for San Antonio since he got sent down and has walked 9.
  11. People who actually do this for a living think you're wrong, so I'll go with them.
  12. Can you provide the source to that ranking? https://www.jsonline.com/story/sports/mlb/brewers/2019/07/29/baseball-america-ranks-brewers-farm-system-dead-last/1859346001/ I haven't seen it ranked higher than 27th. So 27th, 30th, either way it's crap and very likely isn't going to provide us any help any time soon.
  13. Gio got out of the inning by getting the pitcher out twice and one time he intentionally made an out.
  14. Grandal clearly needs to stop watching so much video and work on his Hamilton Porter trash talk. Is that your sister out there in left field, naked? She's naked.
  15. If the strike zone was automated, Cain would've been down in the count 1-2 and possibly protecting against a called strike by swinging at that pitch.
  16. I don't know if Coshun can't actually pronounce Christian or if he actually thinks Yelich's name is Kristin.
  17. I think they might have been wrong but to say it wasn't even close is a bit inaccurate. Best view would've been that side view but the 2nd baseman was in the way. The other view behind 2nd base was basically useless and it doesn't help that Hiura has that giant oven mitt on either.
  18. The ESPN app made fun of him last year for how hilariously he misjudges fly balls.
  19. So MLB's idea is to allow players to express themselves by putting whatever name they want on their jersey but give them white jerseys with a silver outline basically making the names unreadable?
  20. What evidence do you have that he's going to push the payroll to $130 million? He only pushed it to a little over $120 million this year with the expectation of higher attendance and being one game short of the World Series. After this year we're going to finish with around a .500 record and probably short of 3 million fans (need to average over 40,000 the rest of the season to hit that mark.) I think it's far more likely he drops it to the $105-110 million range and at best he'll keep it at around $120 million. After the playoffs in 2008, he kept the payroll basically the same for 2009. After the playoffs in 2011, he raised it $15 million but then dropped it $10 million the next year when the 2012 team flopped. If this was actually the plan, they would've had a long leash to figure it out, not 12 combined starts between Burnes and Peralta.
