  1. I guess I don't know why they would press charges if there wasn't evidence of wrongdoing. Something obviously happened, whether it's as bad as the charges, I don't know but it seems like something, probably illegal went on that night.
  2. Keep an eye out for James Paxton and Marcus Stroman.
  3. We're not giving up great prospects or anything but we're giving up way too much for players that aren't particularly good and we'll only have for a month.
  4. No extension for Yelich. We would be paying for what he did in previous seasons and not what he's going to do in the future.
  5. He was in the act of trying to bunt when the pitch was thrown. As the pitch was coming in though he moved the bat and himself back to avoid getting hit. Just imagine that pitch is like 4 more inches closer to the plate. He would see it was a bad pitch and just pull the bat back. This time however the pitch was heading right for his face and he didn't really have time to do anything other than pull the bat back and move himself out of the way of the pitch. It's a tough call. It's an extremely frustrating call, especially given what happened on the next pitch. It's also probably the right call.
  6. I think his leg might have gone through before the tag was applied because Kratz had to backup to give himself a decent hop to catch it on. They also might have called him safe for blocking the plate as well. The throw took him over there but his leg was back and then he stuck his leg in front of the plate and didn't give him a clear path to slide. I may be wrong, but the catcher does not need to give a clear path to slide if he already has the ball correct? I thought the catcher was allowed to block the plate if the ball was in the glove well before the runner got there. I know they need to provide a path and can’t block it if the throw is still coming in, but Kratz had it well before the runner got home. Yeah but like I said the runner's left leg was way out in front of his right leg which is where the tag was applied and Kratz's leg was blocking the plate making it hard to see the edge. It was worth the challenge but never really had any hope of being overturned from whatever the original call was.
  7. 95% of Billy Hamilton's career home runs and almost home runs have come against the Brewers. You don't need to look up this stat to know it's a fact.

  9. Two mistakes by Aguilar. Didn't see the ball get past the catcher and then just started jogging to 2nd assuming he'd make it without a throw.
  10. Unless there's some angle they have that we don't, I don't see how this is overturned.
  11. Anybody gonna tell Perez it's faster to run through the base? No? Okay then.
  12. Did Brian say no balls and a strike on an 0-2 count and then immediately say 2-1 right after the next pitch (a ball) was thrown?
  13. Is this a trick username?
  14. This probably isn't random news when the deal goes through. Goodbye competitive balance (whatever was left of it) in the NL Central. It really makes you wonder why the Brewers tv deal is so dreadful. The number the Rays are getting is way more than the last number I remember seeing for the Brewers. Brewers are the smallest market and signed their last deal back at the turn of the century when they were terrible.
  15. I don't really think this is all that productive either though. Throughout the course of the season fans are going to be happy, angry, frustrated and pretty much any other adjective you can come up with. Trying to stifle the anger and frustration can lead to "boil over" posts that might not happen had fans been allowed to vent over the course of a frustrating week or two. Plus, what's the fun of baseball if you don't have well timed DFA *insert player here* posts? Just my $.02.
  16. Why did the Padres let Lyles go for noth-oh I see.
  17. I have no idea what Shaw was doing on that 3rd run they scored.
  18. Yeah, I did a write-up with some pics here. https://forums.realgm.com/boards/viewtopic.php?p=68377064#p68377064
  19. My name is Big Al and I hit dingers. My name is Clay Holmes and I walk pitchers.
  20. So you want them to get shutout? http://i598.photobucket.com/albums/tt61/govols87/rimshotemot-1.gif
