It's not about Braun this year. It's about Braun in a few years when he's 36 or 37, making $15-20 million and likely playing less with more injuries than he has now. It was stupid not to trade him.
Maddon and the Cubs offense basically gave them that win. For being such an amazing manager Maddon sure was scared to use his closer or basically anyone other than a long reliever.
You guys are right. Brian is good. I didn't want to shoot myself at all when he was talking about Andersons pitching 3 of the last 4 games or how Brett Anderson went to the same high school as he did for one year.
I've been watching whole game, why do you think that? BA and Rock are pretty good. Escpecially BA No stupid banter back and forth. Fairly even keeled call. Mainly the first thing though. I'd rather hear dead air than Brian and Bill's stupid conversations to fill air time.
Which was a ball. They're also measuring velocity when it's released from the hand instead of 10 feet from home plate now, so everything is going to be faster than it was before.
Yeah, knew this was going to happen when they kept Kirk. Struggle for a little bit and sit for the veteran. There have been some positive things about the rebuild but they don't seem to be committing fully to it, which is incredibly frustrating.
Blackmon LeMahieu Gonzalez Arenado Story Parra Reynolds Wolters Chatwood Villar Thames Braun Shaw Perez Nieuwenhuis Pina Arcia Peralta See we're starting with the bench garbage already.
Playoffs again for the Admirals. Clinched last night with a Cleveland loss. Their last game went pretty well. Especially since they were down 2-0 6:41 in. Best seats in the house in my book.
It was so frustrating listening to Brian talk about Shaw's defense today. It was something like "He doesn't have a lot of range but he makes the play on every ball he gets to." So you're basically just saying he sucks at defense then because he can't get to balls other 3B can? Okay, got it. I personally don't even know why we traded for Shaw. 26 year old average at best player with limited upside? Yay! I thought we were rebuilding. That's not the kind of player you trade for in a rebuild.
I remember when he walked 3 times in his 10th game (after walking 0 times in his first 9) last year and Brian and Bill were saying how much he improved his plate discipline. He walked 15 times in his last 378 at bats of the season. A leopard can't change its spots.
