  1. If we're going into a rebuilding phase Axford makes a ton of sense to trade. No reliever should ever be part of a team's core.
  2. #4- "OK, great we'll take Cordero and Mench for Carlos Lee, but I have to get Laynce Nix. You can pick another AAA guy from a list" Cruz was on waivers the next season. Every single MLB team could've had him. I'm so sick of this being called a bad trade because of him. It was a bad trade because we got crap for Lee. Seriously the best piece was a reliever. How is that a good trade?
  3. Portland since they have a stadium plan.
  4. How would getting in have been fun? Playing in front of 15,000 Bulls fans at the Bradley Center? Sure Rose may have still blown out his knee and Noah still may have gotten hurt and the Bucks may have advanced because of that but is it really something to hang your hat on? We beat a team that lost a top 5 player in the league and one of the best centers. Let's have a parade. And I'm still not convinced they beat the Bulls anyways. The Bucks couldn't defend five chairs much less five people who can actually move and the Bulls are still a good defensive team because of Thibodeau's system, so it's no guarantee the Bucks would've scored enough to beat them.
  5. The optimist in me says at least the Brewers won't be tempted to pick up Wolf's option after the season.
  6. He should be suspended but so should the umpire.
  7. Comparing the NFL playoffs to the NBA playoffs is ridiculous on so many levels.
  8. Yes, well if that involves the other team losing their star player in game 1 and starting center later in the series, chances are that is likely to never happen and not a reason to just hope to make the playoffs.
  9. I'm not sure how a 31 year old has a lot of potential or any potential at all.
  10. Not only that but there's no guarantee Rose blows out his knee if the Bulls are playing the Bucks and even if he does there's no guarantee that Bucks beat the Bulls anyways. The Bulls problem in this series was scoring. The Bucks absolutely suck on defense with a tiny backcourt and Gooden playing center, well Gooden playing at all. The Bulls would have been able to score and my guess is would have been able to hold the Bucks offense down enough to win the series.
  11. They have all the Park East land they've been trying to develop for years and we're talking about trying to cram an arena down by the lake. Keep it where it is and develop the Park East. Menomonee Valley should be the second option. Lake should be about 10th.
  12. Hard to think his new level is going to be a .219 BABIP, even the slowest of catchers sits higher than that. When almost a quarter of his balls in play are infield flys and less than 12% are line drives, it's probably best to stop with the BABIP argument.
  13. Once again, they're not going to keep an 18,000 seat arena when all they are going to get from it are a couple minor league teams and a mid major college team at most. There's no way it's going to remain in operation if those are the tenants and you're not going to get major recording acts or shows when there's a brand new arena in the city.
  14. The Bradley Center is not going to be kept if a new arena gets built. The only events the BC would get are maybe UWM games and Wave games and they don't draw enough people for the 18,000 seat BC. Concerts and events aren't going to want to go to the BC.
  15. I don't think there's any question Barrett would be better than Walker for this.
  16. The little fist pump by Showalter afterwards was pretty awesome.
  17. Relax. Relax. Izturis time.
  18. I've done both and found baseball to be easier.
  19. Hyperbole like this makes this kind of discussion completely impossible. No, it really is easy. Just watch his foot and listen for the catch. Quite simple, yet these clowns blow a call practically every game. That was an easy call. Blown. The Jerry Hairston play, easy call completely blown.
  20. Easiest job in all of professional sports and they're completely inept. Every single one of them.
  21. Baseball is the easiest sport I've ever officiated. I think some of you guys are letting these guys off the hook way too easily.
  22. Kudos to anyone who kept the game on past the third inning.
  23. Sounds like Hammond will probably be back and the Bucks have a 2.5% chance to move into the top 3. This franchise sucks.
