  1. Are you talking about when he was with the Brewers? He had a .965 OPS as a 24 year old in Huntsville and then got moved to Nashville where he had an .872 OPS and then the next year got sent back to Nashville where he had a .907 OPS. He was doing fine, the Brewers just never gave him a chance and then made a terrible trade involving him.
  2. Admirals once again lose to the Wolves. They had leads in the 3rd period during the first two games only to lose in overtime and a shootout respectively. Today they go down 4-0 after 2 and score 3 in the 3rd but fail to get a fourth goal and lose 4-3. Annoying. Predators. Those three consecutive overtime losses were annoying, but really you couldn't ask for a better start to the season. 5-0-3 against some tough competition. Anaheim isn't very good, but they beat them soundly. They've also defeated the Stanley Cup champions on the road, St. Louis a very solid team, Dallas another solid team, Tampa Bay which is currently 1st in the Eastern Conference with a ton of offensive fire power and the OT losses came against Calgary a solid team, and Washington and Pittsburgh. I don't really have to say if they're good or not, do I? http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  3. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sprint_Center http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/KFC_Yum!_Center Those are the two I thought of off the top of my head.
  4. Crappy arena, pretty crappy team the last 20 years save for a couple seasons, small market and an owner who is old and has no immediate family to leave the Bucks with. Really, just have to put the pieces together.
  5. ARRIBA URIBE!
  6. If only everyone could sing God Bless America like Kane Kalas. Well done, sir.
  7. The Bucks were expected to be bad last year and were bad until after they traded for Salmons. Teams don't magically start selling tickets when the team is expected to be bad and the Bucks have been bad for 20 years previous to last year and the 2001 season. They sold out their playoff games and the crowds were great for all three games.
  8. If the Giants win the NLCS, Bengie Molina will get a ring no matter what.
  9. Not only that, but some teams play OOC games and some don't. What if Waukesha West goes and beats Franklin and Kenosha Bradford in non-conference and then loses one game in the Classic 8, one of if not the toughest conference in state this year. So you're going to penalize them for beating three to four top teams in the state because they lost one conference game? WIAA sucks.
  10. Best part of this is no more Ernie Johnson announcing games.
  11. HAHAHAHA! Eat it, Yankees. Go buy some million dollar kleenex.
  12. They did score 2 in the 3rd but still, way short. Another home loss in the WCHA. Outstanding.
  13. The random thoughts that couldn't be posted on brewerfan.net thread on the political board is coming in handy right now.
  14. The quality of the picture is that of a high school game.
  15. It's unbelievable how horrendous this umpire is.
  16. Gophers losing 5-0 after 2. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  17. This homeplate umpire is doing everything he can to take this to a game 7.
  18. Amazing, a Badger game on in the Milwaukee area! That's two Badger games so far to three for the Gophers.
  19. Brutal draws for Arrowhead and Waukesha West. Waukesha West has to play Verona Area which is ranked #6 in Division I by wissports.net. Arrowhead has to play Sun Prairie which is ranked #2 in Division I by wissports.net. Arrowhead is ranked 4th and Waukesha West 7th. And even if they beat Sun Prairie and Verona Area respectively, they have to play each other in round 2. Not exactly sure how Hartford gets a #1 seed with a 7-2 record.
  20. Don't like it at all. The previous one is much better.
  21. West did win. I think it was like 42-17 against perennial doormat Waukesha North.
  22. Miller Park Drunk has this list of the BBWAA in Milwaukee Tom Haudricourt Anthony Witrado Michael Hunt Garry Howard Don Walker Bill Windler Adam Mertz Dennis Semrau Susan Shemanske First six are from the Journal-Sentinel, next two are from the State Journal and the last is from the Racine Journal-Times.
  23. Since this is a high school football thread, Arrowhead got pretty much a new stadium. New bleachers, new press box, luxury suites and I thought I heard new turf as well even though the other stuff was new. I understand the new bleachers because like the video said, they were warped pieces of crap wood that felt unsafe and I understand expanding because the bleachers were always crowded, especially around the student section and it was always crowded with people filling in around the bleachers when they were full. But seriously, luxury suites? Really? http://www.wisn.com/sports/24777901/detail.html
  24. Same. I would definitely tune into a Rangers/Giants World Series. I would probably tune in occasionally to a World Series with one of those teams and I would be disinterested in a Phillies/Yankees World Series.
  25. Yankee fan on another board. Maybe I'm just not paying close enough attention, but what exactly has Texas been lucky on? The Rangers got a break on the pitch that hit Swisher in the 8th with the bases loaded and the Yankees got a break on the "homer" by Cano in the 2nd inning. I don't remember any lucky breaks in the first three games.
