    I just have a hard time believing this team is performing below their talent level. We're 37-47, our pythagorean is 39-45. Our offense is fine, but our pitching was going to be average at best and when you factor in our awful defense they were going to look worse than they are. Is it any shock that our pitching has a .328 BABIP with our awful defense behind them? You could say that's luck, but it's not. It was known that this wasn't going to be a good defensive team. Team ERA is 4.76, team xFIP is 4.41. The ERA is 14th in the National League, the xFIP is 11th. So still well below average. This isn't luck, it's a poorly constructed team.

    I can't imagine any team wanting Iverson. After he bailed on the Grizzlies last year and his overall awfulness, I don't want him.

    Small sample, but Gamel's UZR was right around average last year. He showed good range, just had trouble with some throws. Meanwhile, McGehee is still butchering the hot corner as we speak.

    I hope that's not the starting lineup. I want Maggette as the 6th man, Delfino starting for shooting and defense. Brezec won't be on the team. He's awful. Ridnour is really the only decent option we have at backup PG. We spent our MLE on Drew Gooden for some reason and now only have our BAE which is just over $2 million to spend on a backup PG if Ridnour doesn't sign.

    Bleacher Report is horrible. They really need to just shut that site down. It's a bunch of people like us, with no info on what's going on inside the organization "writing articles" that look like they might sort of be credible.

    I guess I don't see why it matters. Either add him now to guarantee he doesn't get banned from baseball or add him after the season when he has to be added anyways. It's a few months difference, he needed to be added after the season anyways. This is just protecting their investment and doing what needed to be done in a few months anyways.

    I don't mind it as long as Cain starts. We're at 13 pitchers right now and most teams go with 12, so it's not like we're shorthanded pitching wise by calling up Cain.

    So you want the team to tank the next 3 weeks then? Yes. With the talent on this team all locked up through next year, and the dead payroll coming off the books after this season, there is no need to panic and enter a rebuilding process. And who are we going to sign with all of this money coming off the books? More second tier free agents who aren't worth it? Did you endure the 90's. Yes. It was a lot like 2010.

    Umm, they did. He's starting tomorrow. He's gone 7 innings in both his starts (vs Boston and at Colorado) and has struck out 5 and walked 1 in both starts.
