  1. They could always try him as a starter and see where it goes. I really like the pick of Paul Howell in the 15th round. Fastball in the low 90s and a good curveball. I hope we can keep him from going back to Alabama for his senior year.
  2. Just noticed we had this same pitching matchup last year. De La Rosa went 3.2 innings, 9 hits, 7 earned runs, 2 walks and 5 strikeouts. Bush went 8 innings, 4 hits, 1 earned run, 1 walk and 13 strikeouts. I certainly wouldn't mind a repeat performance of the matchup last year.
  3. His stuff is much better in the bullpen and his .92 K/BB ratio is abysmal. I don't want him starting any games for the Brewers.
  4. Axford hitting 95 according to the Stone Crabs announcer and it sounds like he got screwed out of the couple sliders that should've been called strikes. His words went something like "I guess the umpire doesn't have anywhere to be today if he's not going to call those." Edit: Axford hitting 95 on the corners. That's just not fair. He's 26 years old. He should probably move up to Huntsville with Wooten to see how he does.
  5. Only 4 strikeouts in 2 innings for Braddock? That's okay, I guess.
  6. Q&A with 18th round pick Caleb Thielbar.
  7. It's not a mullet, but I can guarantee this is FTJ. You can just tell he has that much hubris. http://awkwardfamilyphotos.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/06/by-kelli-frosch-bobsfamily-752x1024.jpg
  8. My dad lives way up in northern Wisconsin and works in the U.P. and from when I have visited I've gathered that it's a split between the two teams with a few more Tigers fans.
  9. Depends on what you want. Are you okay with a really big lake? If you are, then you could try Lake Winnebago. If you want a smaller lake you could try Lake Butte Des Morts or Little Lake Butte Des Morts or Lake Winneconne. All are fairly close to Appleton.
  10. I completely agree. It's like they all read up on Strasburg so much and with all the hype he was getting that they didn't even bother to read up on anybody else. The quality of the guys in the booth was lacking in insight. Just a terrible job. Everybody was a good pick and a five tool player and athletic with a great body. You tease. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  11. Jim Callis just said he had lasik surgery and it made a ton of difference in his hitting ability. Maybe they selected him to see why it didn't work for Kendall and Hall.
  12. Maybe we plan to rush him to the big leagues in hopes of being the first team in major league history to have a two players, one with the first name Prince and one with the last name Prince.
  13. Every pick that one guy leads off with "I think it's a good pick."
  14. Tootle now gone to Minnesota.
  15. Well, if he has great power and the incredible plate discipline of Dacker, then that's a great thing. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  16. Hey, we're up to 47 in the draft tracker!
  17. "You can follow the draft tracker." Only if you idiots figure out how to get it going again.
  18. It would be fantastic if MLB could get their crap together and get the draft tracker to work. I had no idea the Brewers had even selected until you guys posted since I had the sound down and was watching the Brewer game.
  19. Anybody else have a draft tracker that hasn't gone past pick #42?
  20. Jeffress with 5 innings so far, 1 hit, 0 earned runs, 1 walk and 6 strikeouts.
  21. Trout to Los Angeleez. Arnett on the board for the Crew.
  22. Jon Hart says Grichuk is a "gamer and a grinder and a winning baseball player." That's the kind of in-depth analysis that you can't get anywhere else. I also laughed at Los Angeleez CheezWiz. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
