  1. Rain, rain, stay all day. I don't want to watch the Brewers play.
  2. Come on rain! Start monsooning right now so this game gets cancelled!
  3. You'd think Kendall would be able to block the ball. We know he isn't in because of his offensive abilities. Parra is so frustrating. I'm losing more and more faith in him by the start.
  4. His niece hit him with a metal bat a few days ago, Jarjohm. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  5. Of course by saying this, you make it sound like the offense is mediocre or worse when in reality it's tied for 4th in the NL in runs scored.
  6. I know I'm not the only one who played this after finding out.
  7. I watched. I'm just not a fan of him at all though.
  8. I don't think they have. I've seen plenty of F/7 or F/8 or F/6 games this year indicating that they just call the game if there's a long rain delay and that they don't resume it the next day if a team has the lead.
  9. From McCalvy a few days ago. I hadn't heard much about Capuano, either, so I gave him a call after the Brewers fell to the Cardinals on Wednesday afternoon. There's good news, and there's bad news. First, the bad news. Capuano, who is attempting the rare comeback from a second Tommy John elbow reconstruction surgery, had a relatively major setback just after the Brewers broke camp in early April when he tried to throw his first live batting practice. He was forced to shut down for 3 1/2 weeks, then started over again from playing catch on flat ground to rebuild arm strength. "When I turned up to game-speed level, I got really bad stiffness and pain in that elbow," he said. "Maybe I was trying to get back too quick. I had to step back and say, 'No more timetables.' Let that arm heal up." Frustration set in. One day last month, a discouraged Capuano called Dr. James Andrews, the orthopedist who performed both of Capuano's surgeries and countless others. Andrews, Capuano said, helped put things in perspective. Which brings him to the good news. Capuano is back to 105 feet in his throwing program, and if all goes well, he will step on a mound for the first time since his setback on June 5. He'll need at least three weeks of bullpens before trying once again to throw live BP to hitters. "I've stopped putting dates on when I'm coming back, but realistically, it will be five weeks before I can reasonably expect to get in a game," he said. "The good thing is it's night and day right now from how I felt at the end of Spring Training. I'm able to let it go right now with no inhibitions." He will remain in Phoenix to rehab with Brewers physical therapist Kenny Patterson. Link
  10. The game is only resumed if the game is tied. If either team has the lead that late in the game, the game is just called and whoever's winning at that time wins the game.
  11. Why did they only do an x-ray? If he thinks there's something else wrong, why not do an MRI?
  12. Yet McClung pitched an inning which means he was available. DiFelice - hurt, not available Coffey - obviously available since he pitched Villanueva - obviously available since he pitched McClung - obviously available since he pitched Stetter - not available Julio - obviously (and sadly) available Hoffman - available So Suppan got through five innings, we had five pitchers available in the bullpen to bridge the gap and Macha chose the worst one. The smart thing to do would've been to use McClung, Villanueva and Coffey for the 6/7/8 and then hopefully they get us through with the lead (they had a much better chance than Julio did) and hopefully we can score some tack on runs and then Julio can start the 9th with Hoffman coming in if Julio can't get it done.
  13. Julio better have his ass DFA'd after tonight's debacle. Not only does he let Julio give up the lead, he has now taken Cameron and Braun for Gerut and Catalanotto. That's even worse than Yost.
  14. Anundsen with 7 innings, 3 hits, 0 runs, 1 walk, 11 strikeouts and an 8-2 GO/AO ratio. Very nice.
  15. Umm, Jeff, that's Emilio Bonafacio. He's a terrible hitter, throw him strikes and he'll likely get himself out. Whatever you do, don't walk him like you just did.
  16. Anundsen with 6 K's and 3-0 GO/AO through 3 innings.
  17. Then Braun goes and makes an out on the first pitch when the pitcher can't throw anything over the plate.
