  1. Could we get two games in a row in Brevard? Wouldn't that be something!
  2. Completely agree. He's not going to turn 20 until November. The most disappointing Wisconsin pitcher to me is Adams. He hasn't thrown the ball well at all, walking nearly 4 per 9 innings, barely over 6 with his strikeouts per 9 innings and throwing in the upper 80s when I've seen him. Most impressive to me are Scarpetta and Peralta. I really liked what I saw from Peralta (haven't seen Scarpetta yet other than that one video posted earlier this year.) But Peralta has a really nice sinking fastball in the low to mid 90s and a lot of potential with his slider.
  3. Redd isn't even close to being lights out from outside. He's was actually below average in 2 point jump shots this year at 38.4% (for reference, Love shot 36.1% on 2 point jump shots), he was below average in 3 point percentage as well. http://www.82games.com/0809/FGSORT2.HTM And he doesn't just stand in the lane like an oaf. He was the second best player in the NBA in offensive rebounding percentage and 10th in defensive rebounding percentage as a rookie. That's a talent, especially when you aren't as athletic as 99% of your opponents. http://www.82games.com/0809/RESORT14.HTM
  4. Dominant rebounder and a pretty good scorer and passer as well.
  5. Nobody ranks Redd as a top 50 player. Off the top of my head, players that are better. Wade LeBron Prince Hamilton Bogut Pierce Allen Garnett Carter Harris Butler Howard Duncan Parker Ginobili Nash Kidd Dirk Bryant Gasol Biedrins Jefferson Love Roy Aldridge Durant Carmelo Billups Nene Deron Williams Boozer Millsap Paul That's 30+ players off the top of my head that are better than Redd.
  6. Bryant - passes, rebounds and defends Melo - passes and rebounds LeBron - best player in the game Lewis - his contract is a joke, nobody believes he should be signed for that much, but at least the Magic have Dwight Howard so the signing made at least a little sense.
  7. Lee has been pitching pretty well this year after a slow start. ERA under 3, FIP just over 3.
  8. He also mentioned Anundsen's no-hitter and how good he's been.
  9. I just realized we got another good fourth outfielder who bats left handed and whose last name starts with G. Gross to Gerut. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  10. Yes. Macha makes the lineup everyday. If he keeps putting Hall in against righties, he's putting him in a position to fail.
  11. Very good point. One thing I liked about Yost was he was never afraid to use young players. Haven't seen that from Macha yet.
  12. A couple of things. Hall is by far our worst regular (yes, even worse than Kendall) against righties. Second, our top prospect is sitting on the bench for a guy who can't hit righties. That's not going to sit well with fans.
  13. Because Garnett is 10x the player Redd is. That's probably why.
  14. Really? That wasn't even close to a hard hit ball.
  15. Hey, it took Hall six pitches to strike out that at bat. We're seeing some improvement!
  16. I was shocked that he wasn't on the Wisconsin roster to start the year.
  17. Why are you using Hall's career numbers vs righties? The last two plus years he's been brutal and he was brutal in this game as well.
  18. This isn't a legit criticism. At all. Only seven times this year has a starter been removed before they've hit 90 pitches. Bush in his start yesterday (or two days ago, however you want to look at it.), but that wasn't a bad decision, he had gone six innings and he put a couple of guys on base and was hanging pitches. He was lucky to escape damage after Blum (I think) hit a rocket right at Hart. Even Bush went into his "uh oh crouch" after he hit that. Gallardo hasn't been removed once before he's hit 90 pitches. The closest he's been was this start with 94 pitches. Looper has only been removed before 90 pitches once which was his bad start in Cincinnati. Parra has been removed before 90 pitches twice. His bad starts against San Francisco and Philadelphia. Suppan has been removed three times. His two bad starts against San Francisco and Chicago and against St. Louis on Saturday which was 89 pitches and I can sort of understand why Macha did that. He hung a few pitches that inning and without a great play from Hardy, he doesn't get out of that inning with the Brewers ahead. Anyways, I agree with the majority. I don't really care if you promised the guy. He's done nothing against righties the past 2+ years. I think that's a big enough sample size. He just didn't put us in the best position to win the game. A very Yost-like move.
