  1. Keeping the roster that we have right now absolutely means that we lose CV and our 1st. I'd love for you to explain how it doesn't.
  2. An 8th seed and quick playoff exit and losing CV and our 1st for nothing in the offseason while bringing back the same team next year (minus CV and a 1st) will piss the fan base off and make them even more disinterested in the Bucks.
  3. Probably Marney Gellner or Jeff Grayson. Count me in as uninspired. The guy is awful when it comes to baseball.
  4. According to the yahoo page, Looper will have #41 and Wright will have #46. Nothing on Green.
  5. Yes, that's a legit site. I don't even think about not having a luxury tax, since I can't remember not one team being in it. The Lakers and Celtics will be in it next year. If a team like the Knicks goes all out and signs two max contracts in 2010 they'll certainly be in it to fill out their roster.
  6. Big differences. 1. The economy. No team is going to go overboard spending. 2. Sessions and CV are actually good, while Gadz never was.
  7. Bucks fans should be ecstatic if they get Gadzuric type deals.
  8. So you think Sessions and Villanueva are going to get max deals? So $15 million per year for each? I would also say Sessions and Villanueva are good now and are still young enough where they can improve some more.
  9. The luxury tax is for teams that go over it. This year it was set at $71.15 million, any team over that salary has to pay the tax. So if you're at $76.15 milion in salary, you're paying another $5 million in the tax and you're not getting the revenue from teams that are over the cap.
  10. The problem with trading Jefferson in summer is we have to take salary into next year meaning we lose Jefferson, Sessions and Villanueva and only get what we got for Jefferson.
  11. It's not just 14 year olds. I still have my DARE certificate. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  12. It's not so much that Jefferson is awful, it's just that he's not worth his salary and we're going to need money to sign CV and Sessions, who combined (and possibly individually) are more valuable than Jefferson.
  13. Nice job Chris, stealing my ex-girlfriend.
  14. That's the order I would have.
  15. I don't see Villanueva and Sessions getting extremely overpaid for two reasons. The economy being one and the 2010 free agent class being another. There's a lot of teams looking for 2010 money so they can try to sign LeBron, Bosh, Amare, Johnson etc. I don't think anybody's going to way overpay because of that.
  16. Badgers sweep the Goofers. Huge save by Connelly with less than two minutes left to keep the lead. 5-4. Denver was losing by two at last check so if that score holds, Wisconsin is tied for first in the WCHA.
  17. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/laugh.gif
  18. He's talking about the game in September against Peavy at Miller Park. Brewers won 1-0.
  19. Fatter than Joey
  20. Jeff Falconio, Dan O'Donnell, Steve "Sparky" Fifer are the three that jump out to me. I don't recall, but Greg Matzek might two and a bunch of callers always bring him up.
  21. Big Springsteen fan, so I loved it. Glory Days to finish it off was great.
  22. My brother being one of them. He called from the court. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/laugh.gif
  23. Heck, he actually came out and said he wasn't interested in Hoffman.
  24. Common sense. There's no way Melvin is comfortable going into the season with Gallardo/Parra/Bush/Suppan/McClung with Capuano and DiFelice as the backups.
  25. The guy hasn't pitched in two years and has never pitched above A ball. There's no way he's an option. I'm guessing the options are Capuano, DiFelice, Welch and Wright.
