  1. Like many have said, it's all about timing. If he would've gotten this injury in April and missed a month and then pitched 180 innings from May until the end of the year without getting hurt, he would've been looking at at least four years.
  2. If we're going for a backup outfielder, I'd prefer Hinske to Kotsay. Hinske's a better hitter and I'd be okay with Hart playing CF to give a day off to Cameron and letting Hinske play right. Hinske can also play first and third in a pinch if needed.
  3. I guess I don't see that as a big deal. We had Gagne for a couple of months last year closing games and he was terrible. Will the new closer really be any worse than Gagne was in the first couple months? Also, you have to assume that Villanueva, our best reliever will be in the bullpen from the start, that's an upgrade. Riske was hurt much of last year, you would assume he would be better.
  4. It's Milton Bradley. Take that Cubs!

  8. I don't see Toronto dealing any pitching with McGowan out until at least May of next season and Marcum out for the year. I don't see them needing a RF either with Rios, Snider and Lind.
  9. I don't think he is now. There was a story, maybe a month ago that said Willie Randolph was going to work with Escobar at second base in spring training.
  10. Tell the Yankees to pound sand if they're not going to give us a decent pitcher.
  11. No suspension. Just a 10 minute misconduct penalty.
  12. I bet the owner flipped out when Burrell hit two homers against the Brewers in game four.
  13. It doesn't matter if he's fast. You can't steal first base.
  14. Way overboard. When I heard the comment, I laughed. Yeah, it probably means I'm a jerk, but I wouldn't have suspended the guy for that.
  15. No they wouldn't, but there's no reason to trade him for minor league fodder either.
  16. You would trade Weeks for "spare parts to round out the 40 man roster"? Wow.
  17. Shane Nance was only 5'8. He could be a LOOGY at worst.
  18. No way I would add Salome if it meant getting all three. I wouldn't trade Prince alone for those three.
  19. Why would he admit to being a moron on a trade he didn't even make?
  20. Cameron has shown no signs of descending. He might, but he hasn't shown that he is. Cabrera has descended and the reason it's concerning is because he's still young. Usually young players struggle and as they adjust, they improve. It's been the exact opposite for Cabrera and that is very concerning.
  21. It should scare you. I had it last year and it's terrible.
  22. I don't want a player who doesn't care about baseball on the Brewers.
  23. Yeah, it's pretty disappointing. I'm left handed, should've gotten into the pitching thing. Instead I wasted all my time at first base and centerfield.
