    I've heard the Cubs probably won't offer it to Wood. The most surprising one is the Yankees deciding not to offer Abreu arbitration.

    I have the season review on DVR. Really enjoyed it. After that, Spotlight: Brewers Draft '08 is on. After the Brewers Season Review tomorrow, Spotlight: Born to be a Brewer is on. That's where they get Jenkins, Hall, Braun, Fielder, Hardy, Weeks, Gallardo and Hart together and talk about getting drafted and their rise to the big leagues. Also, tomorrow at 7, Brewers Classics will be on. It doesn't say which one it is, just a heads up.

    Where are you? Hartland is getting a ton of snow right now. Started out light, now it's heavy, the ground is pretty much covered and it's still coming down hard.

    Not only that but our 1-2-3 would be Sabathia/Sheets/Gallardo. That's insane.

    Redd will make $18 million in 2010 if he exercises his option. There's no way he gets anything close to that in 2010 and with LeBron, Wade, Bosh, Joe Johnson, possibly Paul Pierce, possibly Dirk Nowitzki, Tracy McGrady, possibly Yao Ming, Steve Nash, possibly Amare Stoudemire and Manu Ginobili, Redd will pretty much be an afterthought in that free agent class. What's likely is he exercises the option, collects his money and then signs for less to go to a contender in 2011.

    Still won't happen. Let's say we trade Redd, the most expensive player, we'd still have $49 million in salaries commited to eight players and we'd still need to pay our draft picks and Sessions. That gives you a couple of million in cap space which is pretty much nothing.

    Redd and RJ expire in 2011 (actually Redd has a player option in 2010 but he'll almost certainly pick that up.) We have no cap space until those two along with Gadz expire in 2011.

    Surprised this hasn't been bumped yet. Badgers sweep Michigan and Michigan State for the first time since their national championship season. Now 7-7-2 on the season and 7-1-1 in their last nine games.

    I want Jim to stay. Sign him to a 50 year one billion dollar contract. I don't care what it takes, keep him in Milwaukee.

    This was immediately my first thought when I read about him. They're pretty much the same pitcher, Swindle is younger, but same stuff basically and I find it very unlikely that he can't get big league lefties out. We could end up getting a nice prospect for Shouse if we let him go and quite possibly not lose anything he provided.

    He's not curveball first. He's fastball and then slider. He uses the curveball as a show me pitch it looks like.
