  1. Okay you guys have to admit Patrick looks so much better out of the pen than he did as a starter. He could seriously be an ace reliever.
  2. I think it was going to be Shaw but they pulled him back when the change was made.
  3. Rengifo and Hamilton both booting balls tonight.
  4. So you barely push Miz past 70 pitches but let Ashby keep facing hitters after he's allowed 5 base runners this inning?
  5. Putting it out there so it can't be called hindsight. I hate pulling Miz here.
  6. Just start Ortiz every day. Neither he or Hamilton can hit but at least Ortiz gets one out there, probably two.
  7. 80 mph exit velocity doesn't make a ball go 420 feet.
  8. One of the funnier infield singles that doesn't involve a fielder messing up that I've seen.
  9. Yeah Murphy and the team literally just found out now they have two challenges because the crew chief just announced it.
  10. The problem was when the ump said the call on the field stands everyone just stopped listening to the ump and assumed that the Brewers lost the challenge.
  11. The ump literally said "The call on the field stands. Milwaukee retains their challenge." Because there was a problem getting the pitch on the scoreboard to overturn so you can't change the call if they can't see it and you can't punish the Brewers for challenging a play that can't be seen. When the ump said that they planned to Counsell who had a look on his face like why do they get to keep their challenge.
  12. That's great that it's been confirmed by MLB but the Wrigley scoreboard still shows 1. Has MLB let Murphy know that we have both challenges?
  13. Hey the Brewers score bug gave us our challenge back! Now show us the Wrigley one to make sure the umps know we have two.
  14. Murphy needs to get on the ump in between innings and tell him we have 2 challenges remaining because it's obvious the umpires and literally anybody else who can change it isn't going to.
  15. So the umpire said Milwaukee will retain their challenge but they took it away. They need to get this sorted out now. If ABS wasn't working at the stadium then it should be considered no challenge and we should have two. not the one they have us at.
  16. So we lose a challenge because the hamster that powers Wrigley decided to stop running on the wheel?
  17. His current wOBA is .275 and his xwOBA is .285. Last year his wOBA was .332 and his xwOBA was .299. He might improve a little bit but he's a poor hitter and we should be looking to upgrade and should have been looking to upgrade since his rookie year when it was clear he wasn't going to have a good bat, especially if he was going to be put in a corner outfield spot.
  18. Oh, well in that case that changes absolutely nothing.
  19. This is pretty much the same Frelick as last year, he's just not getting lucky as hell. Same thing is happening in Boston with Durbin.
  20. We could literally play 3 games against the Cubs that may not be within 5 runs. Play for the game today. If tomorrow's game is like 8-3 either way it's going to look pretty stupid holding our top relievers back today.
  21. Great AB by Frelick, takes a ball that's called a strike and doesn't challenge it. Swings at borderline pitch and then is way out in front of a splitter right down the middle and pops out.
  22. I'll take "Things you could see coming from a mile away, Ken."
  23. If Chourio would be like 80% of Ronald Acuna he would be amazing as a corner outfield but the offense compared to what he was billed at has been fairly disappointing with the caveat that he could turn into an Acuna light type hitter.
  24. Not saying you have to go to the absolute top relievers you have there but it would have been nice to go to someone other than your worst reliever in a one run game with the top of your order due up in the 9th.
  25. Seems like we could use a run that we possibly gave away by Hamilton bunting.
