  1. i can't see if that will ever be the case, would make the mlb extra innings obsolete then.
  2. i was on board with the trade on day 1, but probably not for the same reason I am on board now. I felt he would be a great asset next season, but its pretty obvious that he is a large part of the reason why the bucks are back in this series. He still needs to work on his jumpshot, but the intangibles he brings isn't coachable. What do you guys think about bringing in Rondae Hollis-Jefferson, probably the best defender in the draft after WCS.
  3. you could be right, I think we both agree that Hank is not aimed for people who read this board. Its to bring in the casual fans. I am sure there are people who necessarily wouldn't buy a brewers shirt but would buy a Hank shirt and simply enjoy going out to the ballpark to party or hang out with friends.
  4. I think the fact it was a cereal helped a lot. And the fact majority dislike hank or don't want Hank stuff. if the majority of brewer fans disliked Hank, he wouldn't have his own merchandise stand or his 2nd bobblehead day. you need to separate what hardcore brewers fans think and the span of the fanbase think.
  5. brewer fans get it right this time! still not sure if this can be considered Hang Backlash; maybe people would just rather get a hat than a cereal bowl.
  6. Well, that's pretty condescending. Instead of throwing out a cheap shot, care to elaborate on why MCW is so superior? Here are the facts. MCW's playoff performance: 39% shooting 0-4 3FG 4.5 Assists (Pumped up by huge minutes in Game 3) +/- -11 But wait, look what he does on defense! Ok, let's look. Rose has dominated in this series. Is that all on MCW? Of course not, but he is the primary person guarding him. Besides all that, everyone saw him standing and dribbling time after time this playoff series, including the entire 2nd OT. With all that said, MCW may or may not be a better PG than Brandon Knight now or in the future. But there's no doubt in my mind Knight would have been a better fit in the playoffs this year for THIS team. They sorely needed someone who could get hot and knock down 2-3 threes. Brandon Knight can do that, MCW can not. you have to give MCW next season before making a judgement. The suns lost 10 out of there last 11, its not like Knight took Phoenix by storm. I will admit though that Knight would be very helpful for this series, but bucks fans should not be worried about this season, and instead should be looking to the future.
  7. i heard that too, but then why would you bring him in to run 1 draft and then have to replace him, doesn't make much sense.
  8. That's not the point Patrick. Lots of teams have injuries but they don't play .133 ball. You don't replace Roenicke with Narron who's attached to his hip and should be fired as well. You replace him on an interim basis with Sedar who predates Roenicke in the organization. You tell Melvin he's done after the trading deadline and if he wishes to stay on to shepherd the franchise, fine. If not let Ash handle those chores with the understanding he's done too later on. Sedar should be fired; he is not a good 3rd base coach. I believe he is Doug Melvin's snitch on the coaching staff and thats why he has been here so long. I would rather let guerrero or coles take over for the season, as they have managed a lot of the younger players in the minors.
  9. i know a lot of brewer fans are calling for doug's and ron's head but it isn't going to change what is fundamentally wrong with this team. Its not going to heal Johnny Lu's toe or return Lohse to form. I see no point in letting Narron move up a seat for the last 5 months of the season. If the brewers want to bring in someone like Counsell on an interim basis to see if they improve, I'm all for that. The same thing with firing Doug, is Gord Ash going to do anything different than DM? I doubt it.
  10. the entire staff in CS is struggling, there isn't a good option to call up, so Robbie is as good as anyone else.
  11. this really doesn't mean much. they can't change the roster at this point and i doubt firing any manager or coach will not be discussed. It can't hurt but I can't see it changing. The team is pressing and having the owner in the stands won't help them relax.
  12. The truth is that the only way the brewers will improve is the same way they did it in the early to mid 2000's. They need to draft well. They have been plagued with bad picks in the mid to late rounds. Hopefully last summers draft was a start in the right direction. Ownership needs to understand that its a much better use of money to draft players and pay over slot than sign players like Lohse or Garza. I can't see the brewers being a contender for 5 years because they have tried to hold instead of just gutting it. I hope that the brewers would try to get top propsects for ANY player on the roster to try to build up the franchise. True brewer fans would understand. I just don't want the brewers to operate like the bucks did for the last 10 years of the Kohl era where they wouldn't gut it out and simply tried to sneak into the players each season, usually ending up just short (thus ending up with a mid 1st round pick)
  13. Simmons is a great choice, i just figured that he really has no interest in doing it full time.
  14. Wasn't it mentioned when Ray Montgomery was hired that he could potentially replace Melvin. Truth is nobody knows how Counsell would do as GM, and thats alot of responsibility for someone who retired only 3 years ago.
  15. anyone have a guess on how long he is out, is this a 1 month, 2 month thing.
  16. I don't see a good interim manager on this roster; i would wait until May 1st to see if they can turn this around, if not i'd replace RR with Counsell on an interim basis. I must admit that the candidates mentioned so far do not do much for me I would hire Gardenhire in a second, but I don't see him coming here.
  17. i have yet to see the brewers or bucks available on this app, i wonder if it is different based on your provider (i have u-verse)
  18. Cauley-Stein is looking like a 8-12th pick player; i think it would be reasoable for the bucks to look at someone like Bobby Portis at 17,
  19. the one obvious thing after game 1 is that the bucks need to add some size to their front court, they got man handled inside the paint.
  20. now that the dog has his own merchandise stand; it has officially gotten out of control. I didn't mind last year since they were raising money for a good cause with homers for hank and such; this season has become a complete cash grab.
  21. http://brewers.mlblogs.com/2015/04/16/fans-to-decide-brewers-final-all-fan-giveaway-item/ nice idea and I am glad they are not doing a bobblehead, but everyone knows that the hank bowl will win; even though it wasn't in my top 3 i like the idea of the winter hat, trucker hat, or scarf.
  22. Bucks get the Bulls in the playoffs; should be a fun series, even though its going to be very hard for the bucks to advance.
  23. very interesting article on how the new logo was developed, also includes a bunch of preliminary designs. http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/12664472/inside-look-milwaukee-bucks-logo-redesign
  24. the uniforms will be good i think. I am assuming they will have cream home jerseys and green roads, with block lettering. Will be interesting to see what the bucks do with the sides (would like to see something similar to MU with blue, cream and green stripes). Also green and cream looks very good together.
  25. now that the logos are official, i must say I am a fan. THe bucks went with a very retro look without recycling their old logos, fonts etc. While i have a good idea on how the uniforms will look, it will be interesting to see how they look and I reserve judgement until they are shown.
