  1. i think one of my facebook friends mistyped his post, the bucks will be 22 million under the cap, not save 22 million.
  2. i saw that they can save 22 million in cap space by cutting both. Gives the bucks the ability to sign Middleton and someone else if they choose.
  3. i love Kevin Owens, he has brought new life to Monday nights for sure.
  4. looks like Ersan is on his way to Detroit. I am fine with shipping him out, but the return doesn't look that great http://www.hoopsrumors.com/2015/06/pistons-acquire-ilyasova.html
  5. predictions for money in the bank: Seth Rollins Kofi Ryback Kevin Owens The New Day Nikki Bella King Barrett I think the Owens - Cena match is close, still think Owens will win this one and eventually once the US belt is put up, Cena will end up beating him. I think Roman Reigns is probably the favorite to get the briefcase, but it would be cool to see The new day with the tag team belts and the briefcase, so i'll take Kofi with a shocker.
  6. Perez is not the answer nor is a major league player. I would rather give these AB's to Scooter to see if he can recreate his production last season. If not I would rather give these AB's to Sardinas or Gomez.
  7. yeah put a fork in this experiment. I'd rather see if Scooter get it together than see Perez continue to do nothing.
  8. i hope they give him the chance to start on Sunday, this is the 3rd time a brewer had an impressive debut and hopefully he isn't sent right back to AAA.
  9. i wonder, he is a texas kid commited to texas A&M, not sure if this is a signability pick.
  10. Melvin has little to nothing to do with the draft. He's the boss of baseball operations. That includes the draft. The director of scouting reports to him. I know Melvin has the final call on everything, but i would hope that he lets his scouting director make the pick. Its why you have a scouting director. When Jack Z was here, i never got the impression that Melvin had much say in who the brewers took.
  11. it will be interesting to see what Montgomery does in his first draft. I though do not get the point of drafting underslot in the 1st to draft overslot in the competitive balance and 2nd rounds like last year.
  12. Thornburg probably deserved the start. but i think the brewers just want to see what they have in these young arms. They have seen what they have in Thornburg
  13. i agree, home run. i just hope they don't introduce a black alternate with sleeves later. I wish the brewers would take a page out of the bucks new uniforms.
  14. Speaking of Uniforms I hope they go with a cream color for home unis. I also think a blue trim would be a cool touch. i read on realgm that the home uniforms will be white, roads green, also heard rumors of a black sleeved alternate (hope that this is wrong). i posted a photo that i saw on realgm of a concept that looks pretty legit a few days ago.
  15. this thread has gotten way too political, i'm hoping things change once the uniforms are released tomorrow
  16. i'm surprised that i haven't heard a word about this recently, and completely forgot about the offer.
  17. also taxpayers should look at Miller Park. First of all, the stadium was actually a catalyst to some economic development (anyone remember 43rd street during County Stadium). Also it is enjoyed by 2.5-3 million people every year, not including private events, concerts, etc. Miller Park is different since taxes were raised to pay for it, there was no private component, etc. That being said, its hard to say Milwaukee isn't better off because of it, even though i would have to admit it was a poor investment by the tax payers (simply by the scale of money spent vs money earned)
  18. obviously everyone is entitled to their own opinion, i will just point out that when the bucks leave so does all of the NBA salary tax revenue leave too and also most major acts will skip Milwaukee on their tours because of the lack of backstage space in the BC as opposed to the newer NBA arenas.
  19. if the bucks leave the state will be on the hook for 400ish million dollars in repairs for the Bradley center and lost NBA taxes, the current contribution for the state is 80 million dollars. I think it is harder to argue that the city's contribution is a great deal, but still it does allow the baron wasteland of the park east freeway to be developed. I think everyone needs to make up their own minds if this is a worthy investment and I am assuming you are not local, so I encourage to read coverage on the deal: http://www.jsonline.com/news/statepolitics/walker-arena-announcement-could-come-today-or-tomorrow-b99513331z1-306115811.html I agree with your premise when arenas are 100% publicly financed. It seems crazy for government to dump millions of dollars so billionaires can get more rich. This arena is different since the bucks owners and kohl are putting up half of it and are promising an additional millions for an entertainment district.
  20. still need to get through the common council too.
  21. without getting political, i think its a great deal for the state and city from what i heard about it, and hopefully politicians can put their political differences aside and do what is best
  22. One could certainly say the same thing about Parker. Even better, one can say that about Parker after seeing him play pro ball. You really have to cross your fingers on draft picks that they don't totally bust out immediately, even such high picks. at some point you just can't keep on getting the flavor of the month and find players to build around with NBA experience. Its why Philly trading MCW after 1.5 seasons didn't make any sense. Parker looked like a guy you can build around in his brief time in Milwaukee.
  23. I disagree, Parker is a guy who you build your franchise around, plus he wants to be in Milwaukee. Same thing with Giannis. With MCW, the bucks do not know for sure what they have. i love the idea of having a 6'6" point guard. Besides the draft picks, i would try to keep the team close to the same and see what happens.
  24. seems like an OK move, would rather have a kid up there than Herrera, this reminds me a little of Wang last season, but we are not wasting a pen spot in a playoff race this time.
  25. I don't want black, shirts, or the rumored jersey with the state logo only on the front (similar to golden state now) I like the classic look of the those jerseys with a blue or cream alternative. EDIT: by the way Atlanta announced that they will be unveiling the most modern, cutting edge jerseys ever in the NBA, I'm expecting them to be awful.
