    I understand that an ace who is not in his walk year is not available in July and that I agree at some point you have to stop stock piling prospects and actually do something at the big league level. I also understand that the AL central was pretty down last year and that maybe the Royals feel like this makes them contenders. If it works, I don't think most royal fans will mind. in 2008 I thought giving up La Porta would hurt us for years but if CC got us into the playoffs I really didn't care what he did.

    package includes mega prospect Wil Myers. this makes no sense for the royals. They have tons of top prospects but they are nowhere near contending in 2013. Why would you trade your best prospect when still the best you are going to do is maybe go 500.     the problem is that i am assuming if you wanted to hire him you would have to wait until after the playoffs is done for the seahawks. recruiting is going on right now and it puts the badgers at a big disadvantage to the other 11 schools in the B1G.

    he had been wresting with bad knees for a while now. just saw this tidbit that he will not be able to wrestle at TLC http://www.24wrestling.com/update-on-cm-punks-surgery-his-status-for-tlc/ i am guessing the main even now could be some sort of 6 man match with team hell no and ryback against the shield. i know it would be odd for them to have a high profile match without even really fighting in WWE yet but it would peak peoples interests atleast.

    thats why the move surprised me greatly, really never saw him leaving wisconsin unless iowa or another huge midwest job opened up. he is going to have to rethink his entire scheme and staff to adapt to playing in the SEC.

    they may have struggled with smith last season but they did have some success with Petrino (not on par with what wisconsin did though). probably its mostly a cash grab but its not like he is going to a crappy team in a crappy conference.

    well this is a one time thing, have you looked at the designs, most of them are pretty rough. i understand that i am no artist and couldn't come up with one. I didn't know that the current M logo had to be there in some way which limits possibilities. I'd be for the early 90's jerseys (minus the pinstripes) with updated color schemes / logos as the brewers primary jerseys. i think the NBA has gotten back on track with jerseys. purple has gone away for the most part and the ugly raptors, rockets, pistons etc jerseys of the 90's have gone away for more classic looks.

    i don't want to be the guy that complains every tuesday morning, but i started raw at 9 and made up the first 2 hrs in about 35 minutes. it has become very predictable and stale. i am already over this shield angle unless they dramatically change it up. we all knew that they were breaking up the lie detector test.

    only thing i would change is to get rid of the current logo on the sleeve, looks tacky to have retro and current logos on the same uniform.

    i think if the non-football jesuit universities of the big east got together and found some schools in the a-10 and mvc to form a conference, they could get a great tv deal. staying in the big east in its current form is going to kill recruiting and revenue.

    i have the same problem but mine is 6 years old. i run 10.5.8 i have been getting messages that firefox is no longer supported which is why you are getting messages. i run safari on it just fine. i did some research about upgrading the OS and i cannot upgrade to lion but my computer is older than yours.

    i think if nova, georgetown, marquette, st johns, and providence would leave to form a league, the money networks are paying to show big east basketball could easily be transfered to this new league since the big east would essesntially be conference usa 2.0. i don't think money would be the problem and this is the way to go based on how todays collegiate athletics.

    i remember the brewers lighting him up when he was a starter on the marlins too seems odd that espn headline is "Rays acquire Mondesi Jr in trade with brewers". I know he is the son of a former major leaguer but has done nothing to show he is anything like his dad so far. i like the trade, with respect to, getting another arm without having to give much. sort of like the veras trade last season, even though obviously mcgehee was a major leaguer with a track record and not a rookie baller.

    he will be 30 on opening day. i know he had a great season last year but he will be 38 at the end of this deal. seams like alot of money for a team with alot of problems. this is a move for a team looking to win now and worry about later later, the mets are not currently in win now mode though.

    this continues to be a very dark time in college athletics as money and green and trumpeted natural rivalries and tradition. i think with Louisville's exit of the big east yesterday, the time has come for marquette to leave as well. by 2014, the big east will be a shell of its self when marquette joined the conference in 2005. i think marquette has 3 options. The ideal one is to try to pair up with DePaul and move to the big 10. i would be tough since they have no football, but it gives the big east a team in chicago and gives the big 10 a team with a good decade of basketball success. the second scenerio and probably the least exciting is to join the A-10. this is a conference where teams where football is not king. you would be regularly be playing the likes of butler, vcu, xavier, and dayton. these are teams that have had some success, but is a step down from playing georgetown, nova,and memphis . this brings me to my 3rd scenerio is to form a conference of schools that do not have football and therefore protect each other against future teams leaving. i think you could put 10 private catholic universities that have enough prestige that you could have espn or another network give you a decent tv deal i would propose: marquette, xavier, georgetown, villanova, st louis, providence, st johns, seton hall, Creighton, DePaul. this effectively kills the big east and turns into conference USA, but it protece these schools.

    i don't my credence to that theory. why would barkley agree to this if he could play. i think he would want to play on senior night if he could. just because USC makes a deal doesn't mean that Barkley would have to stay quiet. he is done with the university so why would he care.
