  1. they do play a big role in going over scouting reports of players relievers may face when they come in, and there needs to be someone in the pen to tell the manager that the reliever is warmed up. Also someone needs to pick up the phone to know whom to get warmed up.
  2. fine, i don't think you can blame Kyles though. Last season we had on of the better pens in baseball, that both were in charge of. There has been a great drop off in players performances from last season, minus the losses of Hawkins and Saito, which hasn't helped at all.
  3. I still listen to Rome out of Madison every day but stay away from most Milwaukee sports talk, minus the 1250 postgame show. Their Packer coverage is horrible since i can't stand Michaels or Ellerson. Probably staying for Wilde on 540 is the better way to go. The D list is a good show on 540 but it conflicts with Rome. Czaben on 1029 from around 805-830 is the best Milwaukee has to offer as far as sportstalk.
  4. close to being finished per Morosi (he had the Greinke trade before everyone yesterday so i am assuming this will be done today http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2012/07/brewers-nearing-george-kottaras-deal-with-as.html
  5. i am late to the conversation since i was at the game. i looked at my prospect handbook right as i got home. Hellweg had the best fastball and curveball in the organization and Pena best slider FWIW.
  6. that day they also fired billy castro i believe. plus i don't think today will be the day everything shakes up. there obviously will be 2 roster moves. there could be a trade but if there is i think it will wolf and/or kottaras and not anything huge.
  7. I enjoyed him as the GM, i am going assume they got rid of him because he consistently stumbled on the mic and made mistakes, with the largest one being saying that the big show signed a contract on Saturday before the PPV and therefore would have been fired since he interfered in the laurinaitis - cena match.
  8. i could also see AJ granting Cena a rematch and letting Cena take the belt next week too.
  9. Yeah I was thinking that aj was the candle but it's definitely punk it can't wait for next week
  10. rock's announcement leads me to think Cena is beating Punk tonight happy that Miz won, his title reign should be interesting to say the least
  11. the list is crazy of those who will be part of the show * Billy Gunn * Bob Backlund * Bret Hart * Diamond Dallas Page * “Hacksaw” Jim Duggan * Jim Ross, * John “Bradshaw” Layfield * Mae Young * “Mean” Gene Okerlund * Mick Foley * Psycho Sid * Road Warrior Animal * Ron Simmons * “Rowdy” Roddy Piper * Ryan Shamrock * X-Pac * The Undertaker * Michelle McCool * Stone Cold Steve Austin also rumor is Green Day will be performing
  12. probably most looking forward to the AJ / Bryan wedding and Heath Slaters segment.
  13. yeah this raw tomorrow should be up there with summerslam and wrestlemania. looking forward to it.
  14. i don't think so, probably BMO and miller. its just that the bucks can't get as much money as large market teams.
  15. bumping this i normally do not care for fruity beer, but the milwaukee brewing company released weekend at louies this week, which is a blueberry lager. This started as an accident when they watered down a back of Louie’s demise. Rather than dump it, though decided to add the Blueberry Rooibos tea. I think it may be a little too sweet for my liking, but it is a very interesting brew for sure. Definitely a different taste than berry weiss and other fruity beers.
  16. i don't think it is a good thing for the bucks. teams like the lakers, knicks and bulls will command more for their advertisements, therefore only widening the gap between those teams and the bucks.
  17. there is a small delete link on the bottom of your message
  18. looks like the astros got some decent players back but as far as 10 player deals go this seems pretty boring.
  19. With the brewers being off the last 2 nights, I caught up on the first 4 episodes. It is very well written and i agree that the hour goes by very fast. it is a very slanted show, which i believe hurts its overall quality
  20. i watched a little, its hard to judge as they are playing against rookies and free agents for the most part, i have been impressed with harris, lamb and henson though.
  21. I'll put this here instead of starting a new thread http://espn.go.com/blog/truehoop/post/_/id/48130/coming-soon-ads-on-nba-jerseys i hate this, it creates a larger gap between the larger and small market teams. Its bad enough that the tv deal for the knicks and lakers is so much larger than the bucks and bobcats, but now patches will be sold for much higher in the larger market to further the gap between big and small market teams.
  22. the only good thing this draft does is that it helps a team like the brewers trade Greinke by giving them a tradeable pick that they can include in any potential trade. Igor is right, it was always odd to me how many first round picks the yankees and red sox would get a year the last couple drafts.
  23. could be an interesting option as the backup 5
