  1. i know the show is not out for the wii as its a playstation only game, I am not sure if mlb 2k9 is out for the wii though.
  2. I getting really sick of that statement. You are the leadoff hitter ONCE a game. The rest of the game, you are just a hitter. thats true but when you bat leadoff as opposed to 8th, you will get an extra AB almost every single game. Therefore I'd rather have a high OBP guy as opposed to batting Cameron or Kendall. I still think Weeks is the best option of the bunch followed closely by Hart. While I know we have a new manager and we want to change things up, I'd use the designated Ned lineup. Weeks Hardy Braun Fielder Hart Cameron Weeks Kendall P
  3. probably bushy then
  4. i have to wait till friday to get it...
  5. i agree that we don't have a clear leadoff hitter, but i don't think kendall is it. I still think Weeks is the defacto leadoff hitter has he gets on base and has some speed and power. I do hope that at some point Melvin addresses this though (but have been hoping that since we traded pods.
  6. looking at the lineup this is the second time Macha is leading off Kendall which I hope is only an experiment that will not be used once the team starts playing for real. While I love him in the 8 spot, batting someone with limited speed and that last year had an obp of .327 makes little sense. I know in his early days he was a decent leadoff hitter for the pirates, but we can do better. I'd rather see Hart or even Weeks in that role.
  7. yeah there is really no need to reserve the game and i am confident it will be at best buy but ill also add that its really the only reason i even have a video game system much less a ps3. i am really not a gamer and hardly ever play but enjoy playing the show and trying to keep rosters as up to date as possible.
  8. i think if i was back in college and could spend the 3-4 days in a tent it would be fun. There is plenty of fun to be had i am sure and i'd enjoy just hanging out with fellow die-hards for the time i was out there. That being said I'm happy that i already have tickets to most of the games i wanted to go to by splitting a full season and can stay inside.
  9. that make sense as i know the few shows i do enjoy did have repeats on the last few weeks when new ones were scheduled.
  10. it would make so much more sense to put a game on a saturday or sunday afternoon when most brewer fans can actually watch it.
  11. it was an odd offseason. For most of it all we heard about is that they were not taking on payroll because they had to sign our arbitration eligible players. They put on this fake courtship of sabathia. Then towards the end he went in and swooped up Looper and Gagne. I think the team is slightly worse than they were on September 28th, hence i agree with the C-.
  12. yeah brewerfever has officially hit when there is a webcast of bp on jsonline, i never thought i'd see the day.
  13. just saw that portland claims they are not making a trade, looks like if RJ is leaving its to cleveland and possibly san antonio.
  14. i agree with the Thom Brennaman, when i heard the interview i knew he sounded like someone and couldn't wrap my finger around it but its definitely Thom.
  15. latest rumors has cleveland and portland competing for rj could be interesting facing him tomorrow night http://sports.espn.go.com...e=TradeTalkRoundup-090218 go down half way...
  16. logan, i agree that spending 40 dollars to get pretty much nothing is a waste money. I'd hope atleast some of the money would go to brewers charities or something, isntead of helping pay the miller park loans off. I do know alot of people (relativetly) took advantage of the packers one and at that time I thought those people were crazy.
  17. i agree hawing, there isn't much i'd pretty much throw 40 dollars a year on, but the brewers. I have proven that over the 20 years of being a brewers/ baseball fan.
  18. its a great idea, i just looked up, the packers plate costs an additional 40 dollars (with a 25 dollar contribution to the maintenance of lambeau), so we are talking 135. I'd probably consider it for about that price.
  19. There's a good chance he could be pitching in Nashville, correct? not necessarily, jsonline is reporting that there is a date he needs to be added to the 40 or become a free agent. I guess that doesn't mean we couldn't find a spot for him and ask him to start the year in Nashville.
  20. wow never saw this one coming, if nothing else its good insurance if a reliever goes down, at best its another arm to complete for the couple open jobs in the pen.
  21. i know he wore it in the minors and was a 26th round pick. not sure why the switch wasn't made last season though.
  22. for those who are interested, the interview on wtmj is on their website http://www.620wtmj.com/po...37.html?video=pop&t=a after actually hearing him talk, he seems to be very knowledgeable about baseball and excited to be here, which is all i can ask of a radio announcer.
  23. since i never heard him call a game before and never heard a cubs pre or post game show, i'll give him a chance, while he is a cubs fan, as long as he doesn't overtly cheer for them, i'm fine with it. I look forward to hearing him call a game before before i pass judgment.
  24. latest trade rumor via 1250 to Milwaukee: LaFrentz, Outlaw, Sergio Rodriguez, draft pick To Portland: Jefferson and Ridnour.
  25. i thought last night's was a little weird. The whole Angela licking cats thing was odd as was the Michael finding closure with Holly. Pam trying to give a presentation like Michael was good though.
