  1. thanks, i was using the wrong site....Figured i messed up somehow..
  2. I know its too early to start mentioning the p-word, but I know last season baseball america updated the odds for each team to make the playoffs, either by division or wild card. I can't seem to find them on the website. Is that something that is started later in the season or is baseball america not doing it, or maybe i'm looking in the wrong place?
  3. I know this is done always at the end of the year, but the year is half over and there has been so decent albumns that came out this year. I thought we could share our tops (also it allows me a chance to check out other peoples favorites to get some nuggets). in no order Bon Iver "For Emma, Forever ago" British Sea Power "Do you like Rock Music" Marah "Angles of Distraction" Radiohead "In Rainbows" Death Cab for Cutie " Narrow Stairs" MGMT "Oracular Spectacular" edit: fixed typo in title- pogo
  4. he reminds me of Shawn Marion, which would be awesome. he has good size for the 3 position and is the most athletic person in the draft. The problem is that he may not be ready to be on a NBA floor coming out of college. I think Skiles could work with him and make him a good player. Now if we can only get rid of the other 2 3's that we have under long term contracts.
  5. i think the fact that the brewers, cards, and cubs have the best 3 records in the nl helps. I think the al east and nl central will be the best 2 this season. I know way to go out on a limb...
  6. wonder if Ned lets him out for the 9th. He is at 106 pitches.
  7. slipknot, not sure the name of the song though...
  8. The problem with that is you loose a bullpen spot because in theory your long man needs to stay rested to start on the road. Therefore there will be days where you are a man down unnecessarily.
  9. pretty informative column by woelfel bucks looking at joe alexander (he'd be a great pickup) at #8. bucks might looking at trading the #8 pick and CV to Minnesota to take OJ Mayo Redd and Williams are drawing interest around the league Golden State looking at Yi and CV. I have heard in the past a rumor for Yi to GS for Brandon Wright and the #14 pick. i'd do that move. link
  10. he definitely one of the few reporters who treated politicians from both parties fairly. He was a great journalist.
  11. are we talking about bill johnson or dan needle?
  12. we have actually got out of our car before and start "tailgating" in line waiting for the lots to open. As long as the driver is not drinking and in the car, miller park staff don't care.
  13. I'd like to see a win today so our ace tomorrow can try to secure a winning road trip. I like Hart as a leadoff hitter. He has speed and some power which I like to see. He has a higher obp than weeks. I have called for this move for a while and i hope it works out.
  14. 3 hours prior, but i have seen them let people in earlier than that.
  15. The Indians will take Kevin Slowey. I considered Maybin. but you can never have enough starting pitching in this league.
  16. the problem is that we only play the twins 6 times a year, not 27. In addition since we are competing for the same division title (in theory) with the cubs they are the chief rival. Maybe if we moved back to the AL, it would be the twins.
  17. this is a really hard call because of the inconsistency of bush and mcclung. right now though i'd lean towards keeping those 2 for the time being, keeping in mind that there should be a starter available that is better than weaver at the trade deadline if needed. He has yet to do anything to prove to me he could do better than what we got.
  18. is there a limit on the picks?
  19. well to be honest, i'd rather have either than defelice in the pen. Dillard as proved that he belongs on the big club. we are going to have a decision to make once they are both ready to be activated.
  20. if he has to go on the dl, do you think escobar or crabbe would get the call up?
  21. i thought riske was not progressing as well as gagne, but i agree its been very quiet on the dl front of late.
  22. also Hawpe was activated from his rehab stint.
  23. i'm hoping for lawrie, friedrich, or fields.
  24. latest trade rumor running around is sending Yi to Golden State for Brandon Wright and the #14 pick. I'd do this one in a heartbeat.
  25. baseball america's final mock draft, lawrie going #16. http://www.baseballamerica.com/today/draft/mock-draft/2008/266271.html
