hey if cubfan wants to pay it, more power to him. Most on this board would make 400% profit on those tickets. I think this is how the stadium gets full of cub fans, they will pay obnoxious money to see their team. I won't go to brewer-cubs fans cause i don't like to be annoyed in my own park. I wouldn't sell tickets on nsbb.com. but won't berate people that do so.

although it had to be done, its still a sad day. he was my favorite brewer since he was named the closer in 05 and i have been hoping that he would around. When you can't bring him in even a blowout to save your pen, something had to be done.

question, i am thinking of regetting the game on ebay if i can find a deal, can you download an updated roster that includes players drafted last weekend?

what a scare, he may be OK though.

wow i am impressed some stuck it out. i was really tired and went to bed after 7, which is just as fine cause i really didn't need to see d-bow get shelled.

strange that lineups are not on jsonline yet.

you are getting some run on this one. belling talked about it yesterday and i think he was talking about this site but wouldn't say directly what site it was on. also 3 days of blogs on jsonline. nice job.

depends what you like to play. if you like sports games i'd get a ps3. If you like multi player "party games" get a wii. if you like action, adventure, rpg games get a 360 in general. 360 has a better library of games i think. Ps3 is slowing expanding it. i exclusively play sports games so my ps3 works great for me.

i really don't mind it but never participate. The biggest problem is that the only time it is done it is initiated by a bunch of people that has had too much to drink. I know some teams has said the slow wave can be somewhat distracting. Theres been drunk idiots that try to start it when the brewers are up. I am glad that there are enough knowledgeable fans that know when to do it. Mennoti your rules seem about right. I think for the most part brewer fans follow rules similar to that and the people trying to start it get made when noone will join in. Truth be told its an old and tired tradition, just like throwing the ball back after homers, that if it went away i wouldn't mind.

I can't wait to finally have the lineup out there that we could of had on opening day. I don't think Cameron will help wake up the bats but it can't hurt. Hopefully this is the series that Braun and Fielder and the rest of the boys wake up and start hitting.

Guys i found an extra fielder, new in box and really don't want to deal with ebay or anything. Ill trade it for an autographed item (photo or ball) of a player that intrigues me, any bucks classic bobblehead (except for abdul-jabar) or 20 dollars cash, make me an offer. i'd prefer to deal with someone in the milwaukee area and just meet up to make the switch. thanks.

my brother left the pack after molitor left in 92 to be a marlins fan only because he liked the logo but has since come on board within the last couple of years after he realized that the marlins were ran poorly and that the brewers were coming around.
  16. patrickgpe
i wouldn't mind mcclung getting in, problem is that he is the end of the line then cause you can't bring in turnbow.
  17. patrickgpe
eventually the bats have to wake up and eventually Kyly Lohse needs to pitch like ....well Kyle Lohse hopefully its today...

Isn't he in the running for the Knicks job? Mark Jackson seems to be the front runner for this job. People seemed to like the prospect of Skiles being head coach more than the prospect of Carlisle. Why? I'm guessing Carlisle's career record is better (and longer). And Skiles is Chicago's reject. I don't have expertise to base it on, but Skiles seems inferior to Carlisle as a choice for NBA coach. Not excited.... Depends on who you ask. Sam Smith said this morning on 1250 that he is the best technical coach in the nba. I will give him that Chicago was a top defensive team when he was there without a premier defensive player, once he left they fell to the bottom of the league. Carlisle has a better record as a coach, but I still would prefer Skiles for this team to Carlisle.

ny post is reporting skiles accepted the offer, i'm sure jsonline will have something soon. ny post article
  23. patrickgpe
agreed, hernan was actually contributing the last couple of days.
  24. patrickgpe
well coach k was fired, and there are atleast reports that the bucks are close to hiring skiles. http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/basketball/knicks/2008/04/16/2008-04-16_scott_skiles_has_hire_calling.html Ill agree that usually coaches can wear on people, but popovich and sloan are the classic examples of great longivity. It would appear coaches who preach tough defense and are hard on the players are usually shut out by the players after a few seasons. at this point we need someone like that, so carlisle or skiles would be great choices.
  25. patrickgpe
scott skiles has entered the talk of the new coach. I think carlisle, brown, van gundy, or skiles would all be good choices. there teams play the style of ball i enjoy watching. we must keep in mind that it if it is one of these 4 its going to end ugly because players tend to wear thin on their coaching style just like what happened for Karl. compared to dealing with porter, stots, or coach k, i'll take that though.
