  1. i know we criticized Ned for how freely he changed the lineup, but i have just as equally a big of a problem with him batting Dillon #3 when he wants to give Braun the day off. I'd rather have Hall, Hart, or Hardy possibly get an extra AB than Joe Dillon.
  2. yeah i heard the same rumor. I welcome the move, even though i know that it will probably go bad within 3 years it will go bad like it did with karl. at this point he may be what we need though.
  3. i'm guessing he is gone by thursday or friday so hammond can start interviewing coaches out of work like carlisle or brown.
  4. looks to me like another doug melvin nugget, just like doug davis, danny kolb, among many others.
  5. its easier to be rude on the internet because there is no face to face interaction. in general though at the park, i keep to myself. i have had people ask me something, which ill do my best to answer, but if someone in completely wrong, i don't feel its my place to correct them.
  6. i think that is a good comparison. I am just glad they didn't hire a hack like babcock or sund or someone who wasn't qualified like i believe harris was.
  7. also like the fact that Carlisle is a top candidate to replace larry k.
  8. bucks have hired john hammond link i like the hire, even though i would of liked someone that has experience as a gm. He atleast came from a successful organization.
  9. here is the update forecasts for flushing, and they don't look good tonight tomorrow afternoon
  10. here is an update on the search link of those who have interviewed, i'd go with john gabriel.
  11. i think that is only natural. look at the posters who bashed the cubs for getting kendall and now that he is on our team he is our guy. A coaches negatives are easier to see after he has left.
  12. i always love a good conspiracy theory, anyone else think its remotely possible that the owner brought in brown to sell tickets and knew they were getting rid of him. it seems odd that the new head coach was supposed to be the head coach until they hired brown. he really had no qualifications to be a head coach minus playing tackle for the packers. his name probably sold more tickets than any actual player.
  13. Joe Panos and a group got an afl2 team to play in the bc next spring. Thats the same league the green bay blizzard plays in.
  14. i thought there would be problems when the owner was also a starting linebacker. it jsut seems like he was living out his past or something.
  15. all right i can't help but like this guy already.
  16. well he did indirectly say that bush was going to the pen when yo comes back, if i am not reading too much into his comments.
  17. link this can't be good for the future of the franchise. with an afl2 team coming here next league, i don't see this team surviving. It appears that the owner is trying to win on the cheap which can't be done for an expansion team.
  18. zach duke pitch hitting, this is fun! EDIT: is there a reason why marmol or wood hasn't in, they have to be better options than Lieber for inning #3
  19. yeah don't let the maniac phase you. I have gone i think maybe twice by myself because of friends skipping out or single seats available only. Its really OK if you are a hardcore baseball fan, but if you are not it can make for a long afternoon or evening only because you really have noone you know to talk to unless you are very outgoing. Freeway goes by himself all the time. you got your crazies.
  20. i think he has finally learned from his mistakes and is trying not to overwork the pen. He has the benefit of atleast in the first week starters going somewhat deep in the game and he no longer has pitchers like wise who can't pitch on consecutive days. My only concern, and its something i can't prove is going to happen, but he is really extending some of the pitches in order to keep the rest of the pen unworked, I can't help but think it still may catch up on riske and torres.
  21. I don't see how Jenkins gets it. First of all everyone knew in the stadium that last game of the year he wasn't coming back and gave him a huge ovation. I am planning on going to both games of the series and cheering for him until he takes that first pitch. He had an option for this year that the team opted out of, completely not his fault he is not here.
  22. i think i would cheer him only out of appreciation for what he did in the year and a half he was here. i understand that he took only about an extra million to sign with a team that is inferior to the crew. he really stabilized a very unstable pen for the year and half he was there. i just think this city booes its past brewers to liberally.
  23. Based on past history, if he gets into a game (and i am hoping he doesn't) I think he isn't going to get a warm reception. Personally I have no problem in giving him some applause when he enters, and then hope the brewers kick his butt. He did really well for us and he took more money which just about anyone else in his position would of done as well. What will everyone do this week if he enters from the right field bullpen?
  24. just a heads up, no idea what time. I hope I am around a radio when he is on though.
